The server actually referred us to the website which says the same thing, IN WRITING. Signed roughly translated "we are fed up with you (customer)" Some of the options are rather bizarre and unexplainable even to those who each galletes regularly. Makes you wonder if they even make them to order. Don't patronize a place with such distain for its customers. Goto the places next door where the service is pleasant and customers are loved and respected.

I have literally never had a bad crêpe, and we go almost once a month. Yes, the crêperie is tucked behind The Touristy Area of Auray, and fine, the crêpes may not be as good as your grandmother's, but whatever. That's not the point. The point is that La Crêperie Saint Sauveur makes consistently delicious crêpes-- all in-house; all with fresh, seasonal ingredients; and all under the pressure of being booked, lunch and dinner, all year round. And despite that, the service is typically excellent- prompt and polite. Tips: - Reservations are almost always necessary, so call ahead. - Save. Room. For. Dessert. [I'm such a sucker for their homemade frangipane (almond paste) crêpe with a scoop of ice cream.]

We tested a number of creps and liked all of them a lot! La palette de Mme Glohaer est généreuse et appétissante. Mais la cuisine n'est pas l'unique originalité de cette crêperie. The menu is simple, classic, with regional specialities such as dessert crêpes with sea-salt butter caramel (caramel au beurre salé) and savory buckwheat galettes with scallops (des Saint-Jacques). I recommend ordering: - Galette complete oignon - a savory, buckwheat crêpe with ham, cheese, sautéed onion, and a fried egg - Crêpe caramel au beurre salé - a sweet, white flour crêpe with salted butter caramel sauce *** Don't forget the cider! "Doux" if you like it sweeter and fruiter, "brut" if you like it drier with a little bite. They also offer a rose cider (we always order this), which is both dry and fruity. Try it! For those who need a crêpe (trust me, we've all been there) but who don't necessarily need or want the multiple-hour French dining experience, the French Galette is perfectly equipped to satisfy your craving at a price that reflects their simplified menu and reduced waitstaff.

To clarify, I wouldn't feel comfortable closing my eyes and choosing from their menu at random. Last night, for example, I ordered the Tartiflette with a supplementary small green salad. Don't get me wrong, the ingredients were fresh and well-seasoned; however, there really were too many potatoes in the crêpe. Tartiflette PLUS anything will never = a light meal, but this was a bit extreme. Would order again if VERY hungry (and would hesitate mentally about asking for less potatoes). I would stay away, however, from l'Exotique. The vegetables were watery-bland and perfectly diced; (it seemed extremely likely that they were from-frozen, not fresh); the chicken was dry; and the curry sauce desperately needed salt. Something I really do appreciate about St Michel is their polite service and their accommodating hours.

Nul doute qu'ici, cette recette séculaire a su se transmettre sans faillir à sa réputation.
