Just a wonderful restaurant in old Herdern. They have a menu of tapas but also a number of entrées that they write on mirrors in the restaurant. The food is fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced - I had a great Majorcan pork dish with potatoes, vegetables, and a hearty sauce for around EUR14. My friend had a chorizo tapa for about EUR8 that was big enough to be a full meal. The wine list includes various delights from Spain and Portugal, though there are only a few white wines there. We had a delicious bottle of tinto, one of the more expensive ones, and it cost only EUR18.
The service is friendly and excellent. I called just before 5 on a Saturday afternoon to ask when they opened -- they said 6 for food, but offered to make us some food at 5:30 when they opened for drinks anyway since we were hungry! Muy bien, find ich.
The atmosphere is warm and cozy. It probably has something to do with the place being so small. Which also means that you should make sure to get a reservation, especially on the weekends. I don't know about weekdays. La Finca would make for a great date place, so give them a call and lay claim to a table! read more
