She comes home with yummy treats that never seem to last very long :) I come home to pizza for supper or muffins for dessert- my daughter is only 13!! Thank you so much Candice for starting these classes for us parents that don't have much extra time to teach valuable 'Foods Class' lessons. At the time, the place struck me as a local favourite and reminded me a bit of the much loved Bridge Drive Inn back home in Winnipeg. They offered a variety of flavoured soft ice cream, hard ice cream, shakes, signature sundaes and such. My kids excitedly made their selections and I was happy to see that I would be able to savour one last taste of the Island Farms salted caramel that I had discovered in Victoria. Sadly, it was not meant to be! You see as it turns out we only had a five left in our wallet. My husband pulled out a credit card only to discover that like our BDI in Winnipeg, this place did not accept credit cards. They inform us that there is a bank machine conveniently located just behind the stand. However that's when my husband discovers that his bank card had gone missing and silly me, I had not taken mine along on the trip. Based on our previous experience, the dejected expressions on the faces of my children and my own level of disappointment as we drove off minus the much anticipated ice cream, I am awarding this establishment 4 stars. After all it's not their fault that my husband and I did not have our act together that day!

I ordered the small and it was pretty small, like coffee mug small. I wish the Kalamata olives would have been pitted as part of a salad. Hard to eat with pits. Husband had the ham and cheese panini. He said it was ok. A bit dry. Needed some sort of sauce. Almost tasted pre-made and then put into the panini machine to cook. The place was super cute. Loved the HUGE utensils hanging from the ceiling. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was friendly. I suspect if I would have come here for the coffee and a pastry, I would have loved it. For lunch, it was ok.
