I really love that the 5 course menu has multiple options per course, my partner and I are big foodies so being able to try ten different meals was incredible. Every course was delicious, I particularly loved the house focaccia, the greens salad, the trout, and the pavlova! I will definitely be visiting again, I really hope the pavlova stays on the menu.

We booked in advance and they checked in with our party beforehand, so we were able to let them know about an allergy concern. The staff handled that information better than so many other restaurants we've frequented. Allergies can be a serious concern for a lot of people, and having staff who handle those requests seriously in turn shows an appreciation for their customers. Kudos. The food we were served was excellent, across the board. The pasta was fresh, and the quality of their ingredients and skillful preparation made for a satisfying, flavourful meal. Also worth mentioning, they have a varied drink menu with lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options to complement your meal. If I absolutely have to complain about something to be unbiased... Price-wise, well, it's not the Ol' Spaghetti Factory, but you're paying marginally more for quality - ingredients, selection, service - and you're getting it. So, priced appropriately, I would say. Music might have been a bit loud for my liking, but my likings are particular and it was admittedly appropriate for the atmosphere. *If you're weirded out by seeing people experiencing poverty and the related effects of social disorder, understand that it is located on 20th street. If the reality of the human condition freaks you out, maybe go have a plain waffle in Brighton or whatever. Weirdo.

We spent an evening at Tavera last week, on a whim, looking for a good spot for dinner in…read moreSaskatoon. It was absolutely fantastic! We shared the Bruschetta (my husband thought it was the best he'd ever had) and each ordered a different pasta dish so we could try one another's. I had the Tagliatelle Alla Marinara - it was loaded with seafood, the white wine cream sauce had layers of flavours and those fresh noodles were top notch! My husband had the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese that was equally delicious! Both meals were huge servings, so we ate as much as we could and took the rest home to finish up for supper the next evening! Our server, Madison, was just a joy to deal with. Thank you for a terrific night, my first time in Saskatchewan :)

We didn't have a reservation but he was very clear on the amount of wait times. Asked us to sit and we were seated quite quickly. Food is decent but not amazing. Good portion for family style sharing. The Brussels sprouts were very good and crispy, making it the winner of the night. Calamari Frutti were a bit bland and crusty which tasted floury. Insalata di Cesare could use more garlic. While the Capelli d'Angelo con Gamberi has only a few shrimps for the price.

Chianti is an interesting place. I wouldn't call it "Full Blooded" Italian because to my mind they…read moremiss on some key bits. Overall an OK place but back home, this would not be a preferred stop for Italian cuisine. On this outing I had the Penne Jambalaya. This is a large sized bowl of pasta, looked more like shells than the Penne we are used to in the US, with Shrimp, sausage and chicken in a tomato sauce. The best part of this was the shrimp which was well prepared, firm but not hard or stringy. The sausage pieces were small enough to have no impact. The chicken pieces were large and abundant, but not terribly flavorful. The tomato sauce was fine as well but nothing to write home about. It did have some bite imparted by a healthy dose of Tabasco (as advertised in the menu), but the heat wasn't very subtle. Finally the pasta itself, not al dente as I like but just on the right side of soft. There are two cuisines where I expect the bread to be absolutely fabulous. That's Italian and French. Chianti missed big time on this note. The bread that we had was fluffy and bland with no exterior texture. When dipped in the EVO vinegar mixture on the table it turned into a soggy mess. It's a nice idea that needed better bread to sustain it. I'll be back in this area in a couple of weeks but will likely skip Chianti. I bet there is a more solid three star contender in the area.

Alfredo was curdled and lumpy. Only 1 employee on floor and he is useless. Manager was "out…read more... running errands" and wasn't available. So disgusted, will never order from here again. And will let everyone I know also

I ordered online and was told that I could pick up in 20 minutes. My order very clearly specified that I wanted extra sauce. When I arrived two females were cooking where I could see them. Neither looked up at all, I stood for 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. As I stood there I looked at the sad attempt at Christmas decorations and dirty entryway including the lovely sticky fly strips hanging in one of the doorways. Once they saw I was there I could not seem to get it through to them that I was there to pick up and order, (I speak English). I finally got my pizzas and got home only to discover that there was no extra pizza sauce let alone any at all! it honestly looked like there was at some point and then it was scraped off! A tinge of red barely able to be seen across the dough. Pizzas usually have pizza sauce to my knowledge and that is what usually adds the flavor!! So I got bland dough, meat and cheese. I have given them the chance to rectify this, I called immediately, no answer, I emailed, no response, I called again and they said the manager would get back to me, no response and finally I emailed them again......nothing. So here I am sharing so others who happen to like flavour will go elsewhere! Never again! Horrible service, horrible pizza, dirty and should be shut down!
