I've been going to this library since elementary school. It's like a second home to me! The library provides many different programs for students, one of which is the Homework Help Program, where students receive homework help everyday after school. Tutors are highly competent college graduates and high-school seniors. The library also has other programs and events that cater to the community. I absolutely love this place! read more

This review is long overdue. I've been meaning to write to let the community know how special Rosemead Library is. They offer so many amazing children's programs!!! I have been attending their toddler storytime programs on Wednesdays and Fridays with my niece. It has been a year and I notice so many positive changes in her. She loves singing and dancing with Ms. Lynn. She remembers all of the movements, counting, colors, animal sounds, and songs. The storytime program here is the best in the San Gabriel Valley. Ms. Lynn and her staff always provide arts and crafts after the program as well as playtime for the kids. After each storytime, I see Ms. Lynn and her staff clean and disinfect all of the toys. That's a huge PLUS for me since I don't want my niece to get sick. The storytime here is so popular, so it can get VERY crowded. I heard that Ms. Lynn will be adding a third toddler storytime to help meet the needs of the community. There's always plenty of parking. Make sure you call to register for storytime. read more

10/10 would recommend I volunteered here during the summer for the summer reading program. The supervisors, Ms.Lynn and Ms.Adele, are very nice and welcoming. There are many activities for children to do. Overall, it was a very fun and memorable experience. read more

This is an update...5 years later: I no longer need a place to study since I graduated and I now bring my 8 month old for story time and playtime. They have an amazing story time! The leader of story time, I believe her name is Lyn (?) does such a great job and incorporates sign language and identifying feelings and number and animals and all that good stuff for babies. They also have a playtime for babies/tots and activities for older kids. I definitely wouldn't recommend this library for the young and single student trying to study for exams but I would for parents and children. read more

Not your typical library. People come here to do their private tutoring, talk on their phones, and conduct their after school programs; children run around and adults have debates and discussions while others like me come here to read. Sadly, the women sitting next to me is singing while she works on her study materials. There never seems to be enough tables or seats to sit. You are better off going to Starbucks to find a space and some level of peace and quiet. read more

I Absolutetly love this library's Storytime. Miss Lynn is great with the kids, babies and parents. She even remembers the kids names! There are lots of interactions and fun songs at every storytime. The kids learn a lot including numbers and colors. The art activities are always fun and everything and everybody is so wonderful and organized. Its no wonder there are so many kids and parents here all the time but its always fun and everyone has a great time. There are also tons of toys and I always see them cleaning them so it is very reassuring. I kinda wish they had storytime everyday :) Definitely highly recommended! read more

This library has gotten much noisier in the past years. Children come here and play as if it is a daycare center. Students come here for their tutoring sessions. People don't whisper and answer their phone. The staff doesn't do anything to keep the noise level down. If you came here to study, forget it and drive the extra miles to the Bruggemeyer Library in Monterey Park. read more

I enjoy taking my son to the library's tiny tot's story time. It such a great program for the community. Every time I go the library it is so pack to see the instructor Lynn. She sing songs, read stories, and help babies learn their shapes, colors, alphabets and numbers at an early age. Lynn had such a great personality and is great at what she does. She's just extraordinary!!! I highly recommend taking your child. When the story time was over there's crafting activities or your child can play with toys. It's a great opportunity for kids to socialize. read more

I have been to this library for 15 years and it was just decent, until Ms. Lynn came. My daughter and I love Ms. Lynn! She is friendly, creative, professional, and respectful to all the kids and adults. I really like the way she communicates and manage the kids effectively without hurting their feelings or confidence. The Summer programs are awesome! We have attended a few activities like sewing; Valentine's Traveling Nature and puppet shows. My daughter had the opportunity to learn new things which she enjoyed so much. Lots of parking spots but does not open until 11am on Saturdays. Library is fairly big on the inside with lots of desks and outlets on a few of them. The desks are usually packed and I was not able to find an empty one (had to share with two others). There is some cool A/C, the staff is friendly, but this is not a quiet place to study because there are a lot of kids. Wi-Fi requires an LA County library card. read more

A library is suspose to be quiet, no food/drink, and borrow books. its not suppose to be a day care or place for people to socialize. Its loud here and staff doesn't care to tell them to be quiet. Hello!!! Pple are studying!! Teach your kids to use their inner voice I see kids eat chips and snacks here, which I didn't care. But when I eat my little snacks, a librarian came and told me that i should know that we cant eat food here. I politely said sorry but seeing aother pple eat and didn't tell them to stop makes me mad!!.. Never come back here to study!! The only good thing about this library is the amount of tables to do work here. Other than that it is very loud, kids running around, teenagers talking loud, and even the adults talk as if they're the only ones in this place. I live about a mile away from this library and I'd rather go to another one 6 miles away. Staff needs to take control of this place. read more

We take our two kids here on Wednesdays for their children's story time. Unlike the Alhambra library, this library allows for a parent to take all their kids instead of 1 parent - 1 kid only rule at the Alhambra library. Also, Alhambra Library requires you to sign up for their story time, which is an extra step to take just for my kids to attend story time. As echoed by many people on Yelp, Miss Lynn is the best when it comes down to dealing with kids. She interacts with them, dresses up in various characters, is friendly and always has a smile on her face. You can truly tell she is passionate and dedicate to the reading program and her job as a librarian! She's definitely an asset for Rosemead, as we dealt with many other librarians that don't want to be there, hate what they are doing and are bitter towards kids. read more

Today the library hosted a really cool event for the solar eclipse, Miss Lynn made sure the event was flawless!!! I come here often to check out books. The atmosphere is just like a library! It is quiet and peaceful. The organization of books is neat and I always find what I need. However, if you want to use the computer there, you may need to wait. Usually, the computers are full. There are a lot of tables so there's a place for you to sit and study. read more

I really don't understand where the negative comment(s) about librarian Lynn Nguyen came from. She is awesome with the kids there. Parents need to learn how to control their kids. If they are being loud, bothering people then they need to be told by whomever to cut it out. It's a library and they need to be quiet. After escaping from the noisy San Gabriel County Library, I found a quiet place to do some intense studying at the Rosemead Library. There is a nice isolated room with electrical outlets to plug in your laptop. There is occasional noise from wandering kids, but in all this place is decent. read more

This review is for the baby story time sessions they have. My baby and I love ms Lynn. She is such a sweetheart and you can just tell how much she enjoys what she does. Everyone here are so sweet. The two helpers as well, they are always helpful and kind towards all the kids. Unlike San Gabriel library where everyone looks like they just want to be anywhere but here dealing with the kids. The lady works as a "ask us" name Anna, was treating me and my friend very disrespectful. This is our first time in this library, I just trying to charge my laptop during my quiz on my laptop since my laptop will shut off if i was unplugged the charger. She was there and complain most all time and she said please unplug your laptop and leave to somewhere else, my friend said please give us 5 minuets to finish the quiz and we will leave, she doesn't care and still continue say something inappropriate to us. This will be my last time this library. This kind of unforgivable behavior from her will lead the library reputation going down! read more

This is one of the worst library's you can go to. It is loud and crazy in here. People do there tutoring programs here. The librarians there don't care. There kids running around and screaming, this library is the worst place you could possibly go to if you want to go somewhere quiet. This place is even louder than a mall on Black Friday. read more

Big capacity,helpful employees and activity for different age group.There's a good day and a bad day.On a good day:not a lot of people,peace and quiet and no cellphone noises.On a bad day:1.kids running around noisily and their guardian doesn't even stop them 2.Cellphone noises like constant ringing,constant notification sound & constant unnecessary tapping sound that you can hear everywhere from the same "adults" who seems to be here everyday.These rude people never heard of vibrate mode even though smartphones been around over a decade 3.Loud people.Some people are so loud when they speak you can hear them on the other side of the room 4.Computer area etiquette.Some people come in real sick and constant coughing all over the computer.Other people were talking on the phone while using the computer or aren't even using the computer.Time for the county to take action.Time to put up a sign everywhere in the library with all the major languages to reduce or stop these unnecessary noises.What happen to libraries these days? read more

So there IS a library that isn't quiet. I've been to this library to check out books ever since I was a 3rd grader and i thought libraries were always this noisy. After a while, my parents took me to the Bruggemeyer library while they were running errands and I experienced the new definition of "quiet". The rosemead library is so loud that I couldn't read through a single page of a book without conversations echoing through the building. Since this library is the closest to my house, I had to come here all the time to check out books and/or study. Most of the librarians here are loud, but helpful as Diana S said here. The books here are either falling apart, or water damaged. One time, i was turning a page and the paper crumbled...... the staff should check the book for damage before putting them on the shelf. The librarians themselves don't enforce their number one rule, which was to be quiet. Don't waste your time here and go to bruggemeyer library. trust me, its dead silent there. read more

I take my little 19month old here for Story Time. She absolutely loves it. We have such a joyous time reading with the librarian, singing songs, and playing with all sorts of toys! Our family is so grateful for this library. We love it here! read more

Lots of neat changes since they reopened last year! Before it was really crowded looking but now it's more open with lots of natural lighting. I use their computers a lot. So, the best time to use the computers with the shortest wait time is when they open or after 5:00. And, if they don't have the book you're looking for, ask about requesting it from another library. read more

This is one of the best libraries that I've been to. I like how this library is part of a county library system, meaning that there are a wider selection of books to check out. I like the spacious layout of the building, as well as, the new technologies that it offers. I find it better if you come in a little later, like at 5PM, to study because it becomes way more quiet. read more

I have been coming to this library for many years. They have some chairs that are padded so it makes your visit a bit more comfortable. The noise level is high but bring earplugs or noise cancelling headphones and you will enjoy your visit. read more

My daughter is JTa and she went to the library for help with her research. Lynn Nguyen always went far and beyond to help my daughter with her research. I would definitely give 5 stars for Lynn and the library for having her there to help my daughter and all the children. This is the best library that I have ever been taken my daughter.
