Tapas mariscos con vino tinto... €1.50 LOL

Coming here after visiting San Anton church Tapas craving go to me. Along the stretch of Calle Navas it's like walking into a tapas trap because your eyes say I want to try every single one of these places but your stomach will say NO lol. Chocito has both inside and outside seating. Inside their interior is clean with its hints of Andalucian decor and fotos hanging on the wall. With my glass of red wine, came their in house tapas, freshly cooked squid in a seafood broth served with some bread....perfect to dip into the small dish filled with broth. For the mains we stuck to something light and opted for their meat and cheese dish....a traditional choice that you can't really screw up lol. Overall a great place, the service was good and the people are friendly

It was pretty busy when we came but for a mid day meal. We ordered the tapas platter and some drinks. The wine was good, my sister tried a shandy which is almost like a beer mixed with soda (she was looking for more of these throughout our trip). The platter had tuna with roasted peppers and olives, fried sardines, a potato salad, cheese and meats, chicken croquets, potato pancake, and little clams, and gazpacho. I liked everything on this massive plate other than the gazpacho. I just don't think gazpacho is my thing. The sardines were very good. The croquette were very good... All of it. I did not like the other dishes that we ordered. The patatas bravas (potatoes in a "spicy" red sauce) and potatoes del mar were not very good. We ate patatas bravas everywhere and these were the worst that we had in Spain. The del mare was covered in way too much mayonnaise (mixed with something, but the mayonnaise was overpowering). These weren't terrible, but I wouldn't order them from here again. We had little cups of after dinner wine at the end of the meal, it was a nice touch and a good way to end the meal. The service was very friendly.

    Amazing food!

The best food ever and the wine was amazing. The service was great (remember you are in Spain. They appreciate allowing time to enjoy your food and the company you are with). I will be back one day!

Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. About an 8 minute walk from the city center and well worth it. Make the stop for some high quality/reasonably priced Tapas and Wine in a unique space.

To their credit, the service was the "best" (most attentive, by US standards) of almost anywhere we've been in Spain so far. That said, the food was average and at least partially frozen-reheated. The cod and oxtail were both cooked pretty well, but didn't come out entirely hot. I'm pretty sure the roast potatoes with most dishes were frozen/reheated since they were a bit sqiushy, and so were the green peas and such. Bread came automatically but was commercial and nothing special. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't especially great either.

The weight staff was impressive, recognizing new arrivals in the crowded quickly getting us drinks, taking care of everything after a couple of beers, we got a table. (Note that the restaurant is on both sides of the pedestrian street! ) Our waiter was cheerful and amusing. Although we mostly spoke Spanish, his English was quite good in the din of the small room. Better was the food . A really pleasant surprise. A major plus is the atmosphere which feels really authentically Spanish with a largely local crowd that night. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
