I found a baptism prayer card, cross and nun nesting doll for my gifts. Some prices were great, very affordable, some items had very high prices that confused me, I assume they were antiques, many items were imported too. Even if you're not of the faith you should still come check this place out. The Orthodox Christmas decor, such as Christmas tree nesting dolls and the beautiful jewelry. Don't be fooled by the simple storefront. This store is deep and wide indoors with lots of inspirational merchandise, books, Bibles, artwork, and treasures tastefully displayed throughout the massive space. Again, wow. Cindy, the owner, warmly introduced herself to me and showed me to Bible journaling supplies to the back corner of the shop. I had to literally slow down and carefully look around. There were simply plenty of inspirational treasures and positive messages around this Christian book store. Cindy also asked about me. I love Christian book stores whenever city or town I can find them. With so many of them closing at major cities, this store is a ray of light in a long tunnel of worldly stores ---- a definite breath of Spirit-filled fresh air. There is a wonderful collection of loose-leaf tea, books, and gifts. If you are seeking books on spirituality, religion, meditation, etc, they have a nice collection of published work. They also carry beautiful cards, incense, and teapots. They had a special display of their matcha products too. The atmosphere is soothing and peaceful. If you would like to relax with a cup of tea, there are a couple tables inside and a few outside as well. You can see their colorful teapots in the window.

While it was well managed and stocked with a variety of Bibles, books, and gifts, it was tiny and bursting at the seams. But after the recent church remodel and addition, those problems have been solved. The new, improved, and much larger bookstore has a bright, airy location inside and to the left of the main lobby, just past Cafe 4 (the new coffee bar). The bookstore is spacious, has plenty of windows and natural light, a little nook for kids stocked with beanbag chairs, and plenty of fiction and nonfiction books, Bibles, and children's books. I love the bookcase of "Pastors' Picks" and the reading area with two cozy armchairs. It's a fantastic location with a view of the Bay, and with Christian bookstores few and far between and the recent closure of Jordan's Village Books, this store is much needed in Castro Valley.

If you get lost, use your map app to see where you are in relationship to the store, and find your way there manually. I went in there, looking to get one new Oracle deck, and walked out with four!
