They have some amazing artist in this latest show. Of course I'm a little biased because I entered my work and got best of show. It's a small gallery but there is a lot there. It sits on the main street in the little town of Graton.

I love this charming local art center and have enjoyed many exhibits here over the years. Today we…read morevisited the Wayne Thiebaud exhibition, which was absolutely fabulous. I've seen a number of his works before at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, but several of the pieces on display today were new to me--such a treat to experience different works up close. The gift shop is small yet thoughtfully curated, featuring items inspired by the current exhibit along with creations by talented local artisans. Admission is very reasonable, and students receive discounted entry at just $10. Donations are also warmly welcomed and help support this wonderful community art space.

When I…read moreentered and asked about admission I was told entry is free, though they do also have a donation box. In addition to the small gallery of (mostly local) artists, they also had some art pieces for sale. I was impressed by the quality of the work and fell in love with several pieces on display. Most of the pieces were also for sale, though nothing I would consider inexpensive. It's art, so you'll have to decide how much you like something and if you want to purchase it. It also seems like non-local artists could display work here if they were a member of the center. Maybe I should look into it! Really nice place to stop for an hour or two. Highly recommend it.

What imagination and creativity! I loved photographing each one. There was one house with tons of artwork. The entire front yard is adorned with them and I wondered if this is where the artist lives. Sure enough there were pamphlets near the sidewalk and that's when I learned that the artist is Patrick Amiot. His spouse, Brigitte Laurent, paints his works of art. He calls his creations Urban Folk Art. Some are quite huge but all are very unique and original. What an entertaining way to reuse metal. For feathers and scales, we noticed he layers flat jar lids and they look amazing after they've been painted. My favorite was (Buster) Posey and the two owls but there were so many we both loved. I drive up this street regularly but it is definitely worth it to park and take a closer look. Florence Avenue is like the artist's outdoor studio. It's a manageable and worthwhile leisurely stroll. You will see other metal sculptures around town by this artist and I happened to know that Mom's Apple Pie on Gravenstein Highway has one now too so I included a photo of it. Such fun whimsical creations!

She came into my home with dozens of options, hanging canvas's up on my wall where I was able to study them, take a picture and feel the art in the space - then - all of a sudden, I turn around after she has put another two pieces up and WOW that's it. I would have never picked what I picked in any store - but seeing on my wall in MY living room - I knew - it spoke to me, and that was it. The framer came shortly after, framed it perfectly and it's now hanging on my wall. Do you know how many pictures and how much time I would have had to lug in my car and put up each piece only to probably return it and start all over again? Too many hours to count - too many holes in my wall - too many trips to countless stores. Noa is awesome, talented, warm, friendly and honest about what works and what doesn't AND there is no pressure. It's free for her to come and take a test drive of art in your home! Highly recommend!

The paintings she recommended were perfect for each room and what was especially valuable was her suggestions for optimizing the space. We already made a couple of the changes she mentioned and it has really elevated the room! Her style is very personable without feeling like too much of a "sales pitch". Her framer was also punctual and efficient, and available just a couple days after we bought the art. Would definitely recommend Noa's Art to any new home owners looking to create a beautiful space!
