The texture of the mushroom is perfectly tender (not rubbery). The sauce they pour over them brings the magic umami flavors. The sauce is fat based (oil or butter) with garlic and other unknown magic seasonings. They only make one food, mushrooms, but you wouldn't want anything else. The place is small and popular. It gets super crowded quicky. They open at 7:15pm, which is early time to eat in Spain. However I recommend coming not too long after they open so you can get ahead of the crowds and get place at bar.

This place is iconic. The first thing I would do if I'm ever back in La Rioja is to come here. My husband and I came to Bar Soriano at the request of his cousins who have lived in Logroño for about 20+ years. We tried different "pinchos" (snacks eaten in different bars) on this main street but they told us this place was a MUST. The line was long and the place doesn't look like much, but believe me, totally totally worth it. I cannot explain how good these are. All they do is sell garlic buttery mushrooms + bread and liquor and they have managed to stay in business for YEARS. 100% RECOMMEND. GO IN, AND ENJOY!

At the bar, they specialize in a few different Tapas which include Sardine Sandwiches, and chorizo, you can eat the salad at the bar. What you really want to do however, is have a meal in the small Comedor area at the back. As this room only has 4 or 5 tables, you will want to go early around 8:00PM to get seated. They usually automatically bring you a large salad to start, and then will ask you what your like for a main course. The room is decorated really nicely with old Riojan wine advertizements and maps of the region.

For €1.20, it's hard to find a better snack and the minute wait between receiving your order and eating it is pure torture.
