At about 1:30, there were only two other tables. By 2, the place was nearly full. The dining area is small- about 10 tables in back and another 4 up front - but that's not unusual around here, right? Service in English/Spanish was not bad - it's always the effort that counts. As soon as we said vegan (because there's nothing on the menu other than the obligatory steamed veggies and side salad, they pointed us to the daily specials, which included your choice of bean or lentil soup or pasta. May need to read that once. We did. And even after it was explained to us, we figured we'd just take what we got. Whether it was soup AND pasta or soup OR pasta, we were getting one bean and one lentil. Well, it was OR and we both got a plate of pasta! Nicely played Don Ciccio, we got what we wanted and it was a surprise at the same time. I finished off my lentils while writing this review and even took a moment to try a bite of my wife's beans. Outstanding. The sauces were the same for both, olive oil, garlic, salt, parsley.... Simple and tasty. A filling lunch portion for €7! Great service guys and great special. Milazzo has a port which offers aliscafo (speed boats) to the volcanic islands surrounding Sicily so it was only right we ordered a volcanic beer. The ambiance was quiet and waitstaff was friendly. The seating is outdoor which offers some views of the city lights. The menu had a variety of language options from English/Spanish and German which is helpful for tourists. The waitstaff spoke English so it made the ordering process easier for those that didn't speak Italian fluently. We made a reservation via an app named the fork (which we found on TripAdvisor) and we received a 20% discount that included alcohol. Definitely a great deal and great food!
