Davide was incredibly gracious and helpful. One of the folks in our party is vegetarian and he helped us out with some swaps to make some dishes vegetarian. He walked us through the specials and the wine options as well as some questions we had about some menu items. The food we had was all incredibly flavorful and we enjoyed each dish. The standouts were the chicken liver, Sicilian stuffed meat rolls, rigatoni al rustico, and the spaghetti with pesto & swordfish. The rabbit also came recommended from our hotel concierge, but there were too many good options to pass up! Highly recommend coming here and worth making a reservation as it is a very popular spot with all of the locals as well!

Just when the rain started up again we ducked into Al Faro for lunch. I had the fried sardines because WHY NOT? The special pasta was linguini with sea urchins. Incredible! The wine I got was the last bit of the bottle, so I got skimped on the pour, which I was upset about. I kept looking around at others ordering wine and they all got 3/4 of an inch more in the wine glass than I did. I was expecting him to come back with a new bottle to finish the acceptable pour - but nope. With the cooperto to charge and charge for tap water (which I know is everywhere in Italy) this bill cost me a lot more than I was expecting for the service and quality of the food.
