Leroy and his folks can certainly crank out top quality food. We didn't really know what to expect going in, only having seen Salvadorian cooking on shows like on the Food Channel. We had tostones with guacamole and pupusas. All phenomenal. The guacamole was the best I have ever had, and I've had a lot. Leroy is an excellent host and did a great job of explaining the menu and the different kinds of foods to expect. He guided us to some excellent choices. And what they turned out was nothing short of delicious, thanks to his wife and son-in-law. We took desert home for later - Tres Leches Cake and Rice Pudding. Both were great. They have both traditional Salvadorian and Costa Rican dishes as well as a little bit of an expanded menu that his son-in-law puts together, being a Johnson and Wales trained chef. Everything is cooked from scratch, and is made fresh daily. Meals are cooked to order and come to the table piping hot. We've got to go back and try those dishes. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I'm just sorry that we didn't get here sooner. I'm sad for all the good food that I've missed. This is a locally owned, family room business. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and treated like family. The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was easy to see why so many people recommend this place. We took our ground beef empanadas and plantains home to enjoy alongside authentic Cuban sandwiches. Before we left, they took time to share their passion for cooking, explain the differences between Cuban and other Latin dishes, and walk us through the menu. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with our Cubans. To be honest, I was so hungry that I dug into their food first and ended up making a much smaller sandwich than I originally planned! Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. After finally trying Latin Love Kitchen for ourselves, we completely understand why the folks at Two Dads speak so highly of it. We'll definitely be back and will be recommending them to friends and family.
