We were tired from a long day of exploring the area and so decided on something 'easy'. Mikes fit the bill. I would rate it above the typical TGIFriday's or Chili's in the US. While here we tried pizza, a sandwich, a salad, salmon, poutine, pasta with meat sauce, brownies, pumpkin pie, and ice cream. Even with all that and a pitcher of beer, the total before tip was just over $100. Everything was good and it was a nice relaxed dining atmosphere. Luckily our waitress spoke decent English (to compliment our regrettably poor French) and we had no issues in ordering. Stopping here after a long day of sightseeing topped the night off perfectly.

Probably one of the worse experience I ever had. First thing, don't expect authentic italian food…read more This place is as far from it as Montreal is from italy. The specialty of the chef (as per the waitress) is veal parmagiana, which is something that doesn't even exist in italy. That should have been a sign to get out of there... But we stayed. For food, we had the fried calamari , which came with a red sauce. Then my girlfriend had pasta a la vongole and I had pasta scalenta (not 100% sure of the name). The calamari by itself was good but the sauce was disgusting. Think tomato sauce with Tabasco. It was not good. The pasta a la vongole was not good either. The sauce (which was a roses sauce). Did not taste good. My pasta was good but it was soon hard to digest I regretted taking it. In addition to the food being not good the service was really bad. It was slow and bad. To get our entree, it took over 30 minutes. Then add that we were not even asked if we wanted coffee or desert. They brought us the bill after picking up the plates of our maindish. And let's not forget one of the waitress that kept kicking my girlfriends chair all night long when there was a lot of place to pass next to it. All in all a pretty bad experience.

I was kind of skeptical at the price and thought that the food would potentially not be the best. I was totally wrong! The food at this restaurant is of the highest quality and the value you get for your money with their 3-course menu is unbelievable. Appetizer, main, dessert and tea or coffee for $25 is unheard of. The food was delicious for the most part, and very well presented. The service was extremely attentive. The interior decor isn't on the same level as the food or service, but apart from that, I cannot think of a negative thing to say. If you're in Magog, I absolutely recommend this place for dinner. It's an real steal!
