After spotting the restaurant out of chance, we entered this establishment that was practically…read moreempty with the exception for a family of four and the restaurant was full of smoke. Being foolish and full of positive intent, we sat down nonetheless. We were greeted after a few minutes by our waitress, who I in the end started feeling sorry for because she ended up being the face of the establishment. The real crook was in the back concocting his grewl. The decoration was semi-authentic. I say this because there was obviously a Savoyard theme going on, but a lot of the details were strangely Corsican. When I ordered a Coke, I got a glass full of "Corsica Cola". The lunch menu was obviously priced for unsuspecting tourists. 28€ for a starter, a main and a dessert. The starters I would say were alright, but the meat that we all ordered (beef and duck), were inedible. What is more, the duck was extraordinarily tough, burnt and covered with a strange spice that looked like pepper grains that seemed to have provoked a strange reaction on my tongue... The only thing I could liken it to is licking a 9V battery! Needless to say, I didn't continue eating it. My friends left plenty on their plate as well (see photo). I'm usually good at forcing myself, but this was impossible. When the waitress came to collect our plates, no mention was made of the quantity that remained. I could tell that she knew... The dessert I had was obviously a store bought fondant that you stick in the microwave for 20 seconds. Thank The Lord Jesus for that! And I don't even believe in god! If there's anything that is good about this place, it's the conversation it inspires. It will give you a story to tell for ages to come! We are still talking about it 9 hours later! Please, avoid this place at all costs. All these other posts are not an exaggeration.
