Easy to spend time just browsing the aisles. The prices are insanely good. Local Italian wines, salami, snacks -- you can grab a lot here without spending much. I picked up a bottle of Montepulciano, some coppa, Nutella, and a few other things. Definitely stop in, fill your backpack with goodies, and you'll have snacks for your room, easy light lunches on the go, and be very happy. A great stop if you're nearby -- even just to explore and pick up a few things. You'll leave excited..

Carrefour is a common grocery brand in Italy, not unlike jewel/dominicks/etc…read more They have both organic and non organic produce. Things to note: you need to add a stamp to your weighed fruits/vegetables (look for the tag # on the produce sign). Cheeses are awesome and cheap. Real wine isn't (look for the aaa/doc label). Oh and italy = easy access to figs, cheap pesto, other goodies. Remember that here, uncle ben's is an import food. overall, home cooked food made from food obtained at a carrefour will beat food at a tourist trap restaurant anyday. I strongly suggest exploring a carrefour if you are in Italy for the first time.

Employees are friendly and helpful. Lots of candies, pastas, wine, chocolates, cookies, etc. There is a small cafe at the back of the store as well. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.
