Trattoria del Tribunale is a great starting point for your Parma eating adventures, and you'll find it's recommended by Yelp, the Internet, your AirBnB Host, and everyone in between. With quality renderings of just about any Parma specialty, it's a great initiation into the region's culinary traditions.
Of course, you have to start with the cold cuts. I went straight for the Culatello, but they've got it all: Prosciutto di Parma, Coppa piacentina, Salame di Felino, Mortadella. Or get a mixer. And of course some Parmigiano-Reggiano. Do yourself a favor and order the Arthichoke (Romano) style. Fantastic. From there you have a number of options. I chose to make my ravioli stand here with the sampler: fillings of cheese, pumpkin, and spinach. Very good.
For dessert, I tried the Sbrisolona (Italian almong crumble cake). Pretty good.
House wine was cheap and plentiful, and they had a good bottle list, too. Value is off the charts. Can't go wrong with this place.
