    Asian fusion crunch salad
    David K.

Saw on Instagram that this place is now open for lunch. So a couple of us decided to check it out. The restaurant is small and pleasant. It was mostly empty when we visited. The server was informative and happy to answer any questions (or ask in the kitchen if she was unsure). The lunch menu has a lot of items on it and some are vegetarian (yay). I ordered the Asian salad and it was good, just fine, but nothing special. One of my dining companions ordered the same with shrimp and was disappointed with the size and how they appeared on the salad. My other companion ordered the soup of the day, which was lentil, and said it was outstanding. Overall, considering the price and what we wound up getting, it was fine. I'd go back, but think it could be better. Just one random guys opinion of course.

Always a great experience!! We have been many times for dinner, but now they open for lunch and it was fantastic! I had a Peach and Burrata Salad. The lettuce was super crisp and the flavors from the peach, burrata, drizzle and pistachio crumbles was beautiful. Hubby had a truffle burger and lobster bisque that was equally as flavorful. Lobster bisque was full of lobster in every bite!

I have been here a few times since the new owners took over around a year ago. I waited to write my new review to give them a chance. I wanted a Cabernet Sauvignon tonight. The bartender recommended one. I wish I remember the name but anyhow....I sampled it first. I did not think it tasted that good. So he said I would like one that was lighter. Actually, I do like bold wines, not light ones. I tried the other one he recommended and it was so acidic. I could not take more than one sip. My friend ordered the first one so I did as well. It was ok. The house salad is still good, but if you compare it to what I posted years ago, it is quite different. Look how beautiful it was. I am a salad fanatic and none was ever prettier, fresher or tasted better than that one. It was so unique. I want it back! I ordered the branzino recently and it was not as good as it was years ago. Servers were bringing entrees to tables near us and one totally smelled like fish. To me, that is not a great sign. My friend ordered a caesar salad and they gave her a regular salad with caesar dressing. It was very confusing. They do pay careful attention to allergies so that is a positive. We asked for the check and around twenty minutes later, we received it. The atmosphere is so nice at the bar. It does feel very French.

I just discovered that this 30 year old restaurant has new owners! Menu stayed pretty much the same, but if you want the conch schnitzel, you have to ask, and you have to catch it when it's in. It's not every day.

I had a nice evening dinner with some friends here last night. While I had been looking forward to dining at this restaurant for some time, and maybe because of that, it did not quite live up to my high expectations. The place is very nicely appointed. I quite appreciated the cozy "romantic" atmosphere that they have created out of this strip mall location: it was very charming. The service was equally on point. We were a larger group of 8, and our waitress was super nice and made a real effort recommending and explaining the ins and outs of all that we each wanted to order. She was phenomenal. Several of us had wine, and I am happy to report that they do carry several options by the glass! That was great, not just the one-all-take-it- or- leave it white or red type! I had a choice and loved that! Now The food : it was overall good. I was not able to take pictures of everything that was ordered but some of us had steak (was returned to be cooked, then over cooked but she ate it anyway) , some had fish (was a bit dry but flavorful), some had duck ( also said a bit dry but flavorful), one had the braised ribs (she sent it back it was too tough- and they took it off the bill and offered her a free delicious creme brûlée as a courtesy) so little things like this showed me that it was not just my food that was off... I ordered 2 appetizers: the first was a delicious pear filled with goat cheese: this was spectacular. Even the presentation (plating) was amazing: very creative and such good flavor: get it if you can, it's on their "specials" menu: Sooo good!! And then... I had the lobster ravioli in a lobster sauce... they were too salty for me, so I just had a couple and didn't take any leftovers. So one spectacular + one meh dish gives them a solid 3 stars for everything else...Little things like this, make it a good place but taper your expectations. Now, given the amount of amazing reviews- it may have been a one-off night for the chef- we are all human... and it is worth mentioning that the variety of food that they have in their menu makes it interesting enough to want me to go back! But with a new moderate 3-star expectation! Oh and don't forget to order their bread!! Order it at the very beginning because it's freshly baked, so it takes a while to arrive, but when it does, it's freshly off the oven and comes with a delicious honey butter: Yumm!! Enjoy!!

This was my first time dining here and I was excited to try something new but I was not as thrilled as I wanted to be. To start, I made a reservation and was seated promptly in a very dark room with a few tables that were already seated with families and kids. I don't know why they fill the rooms when the rest of the restaurant wasn't very busy. The room became very loud and it was hard to hear the conversation we were trying to have with another couple that we were dining with as well as our server. The server didn't tell us about any daily specials but did give a daily menu. I didn't find her to be warm or friendly and she seemed a little iirritated by the noise level in the room. The food was just alright. The flatbread was weak on toppings and flavor. The Meatball Appetizer was weird as the meatballs were sitting on something that resembled mashed potatoes. I ordered the monkfish which was on the special menu but it was clearly pre frozen which is the same as my husband felt about his pistachio crusted snapper. He even felt his had a bit of a funky taste so he didn't finish his fish or pasta. We were not thrilled and would probably look for a different French seafood and steak restaurant next time.

    Fish was amazing

My husband and I had New Year's Eve dinner and it was amazing. Great ambiance, quaint, great service and staff. The seafood and dessert delicious!!. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be a continuous customers.

Sadly one of our favorite places has changed ownership, and this was our first time back since then. We had a female waitress that spoke English and French. She seemed irritated with me for any questions I had. I was in a party of six and everyone at the table noticed. I wasn't asking anything that was a special request. Maybe I reminded her of someone she does not like. The pear and goat cheese appetizer was still delicious. The rest not so much. We had ordered scallops that some tasted like ammonia, two entrees of monk fish that were not really eaten because the two people said it did not taste good, lamb chops that I was told were just okay, and two rib eyes that I was told were good. We did see the server we always have during our dinner, we are hoping he will be able to guide the new owners since he was with the original owners for so long. Perhaps the new owners changed vendors. We requested bread for the table like normal, and we were told by the waitress that there is a charge per piece of bread. We did notice the menu prices went up, and we completely understand in this economy, however it's poor taste to charge per piece of bread and to not have the same quality of food that this place once offered. For the sake of this once great treasured restaurant, I hope they are able to rectify the challenges we experienced.

I had the Montreal smoked meat poutine. The food was delicious, it wasn't as good as Schwartz's smoked meat, but it was close enough considering that we are in Florida and that smoked meat doesn't exist here! Isabelle our server was super nice, she was efficient and professional. She came more than a few times to ask us if everything was fine. The ambiance is comfortable. Why four stars, it's simply overpriced! My bill was 27.00$ and my friend's 33.00$, that's 45.00$ Canadian for a smoked meat sandwich, a small poutine and a coke. It's frankly exaggerated! Best of luck next summer when the snowbirds will be back home. I'm American, the currency rates don't affect me, but for Canadians, that's another story. Now for my French Canadian friends!

From the moment we walked in, we were transported from an ordinary strip mall setting into a charming English tea room filled with flowers, beautiful décor, cozy seating, and even fun royal family cutouts for photos. Every table felt unique, and the elegant china added to the experience. We chose the Duchess Tea Package, which included a pot of tea, soup or salad, and a three-tiered selection of sandwiches and desserts. The sandwiches were delicious, featuring favorites like tuna salad, egg salad, turkey, and croissant sandwiches. We also enjoyed scones, macarons, cheesecake, and other sweet treats. You can also opt to order regular menu brunch items like eggs Benedict, crepes , or French toast . To make the birthday celebration extra special, I ordered desserts for my friends, which were beautifully presented while the staff sang "Happy Birthday." It was such a thoughtful touch. The tea selection was extensive, and our server was attentive and friendly despite the restaurant being completely full. We arrived at 11 a.m. on a Sunday and the dining room remained busy throughout our visit. There was even a baby shower being hosted in a private area. They do offer outdoor seating, but I highly recommend sitting inside to fully enjoy the atmosphere. My friends and I wore our large hats and gloves to embrace the tea party experience, and we took so many wonderful photos and memories home with us. The service I received was exceptionally poor. The sandwiches were, for the most part, average, with one exception, and the scones, one of the.sandwich clotted cream were satisfactory. The tea was acceptable. My visit was in February for high tea, and I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Upon arrival, I approached lady Hostess A and requested an indoor table. She informed me that the indoor seating was full but suggested I could sit anywhere outside. I proceeded to seat myself. There was no queue or other patrons waiting at that time. Mr. Waiter J..later informed me about reported issues with bees in the outdoor area, which I understood. I reiterated my preference for indoor seating, explaining that Hostess A had indicated no availability inside, which led me to the outdoor area. After I placed my order, other patrons arrived. Hostess A escorted them to outdoor tables and provided them with menus. This pattern continued with subsequent arrivals. I observed that all the patrons she seated shared a similar skin tone to hers, unlike myself. Furthermore, after patrons departed from the indoor area, Hostess A personally re-entered the outdoor area to escort these new arrivals inside, despite their arrival significantly after mine. One patron, whom she seated indoors, later returned outside..The inside was full but many cluents left in groups freeibg uo various table indore..She appeared to have many options..options that i was not offrerd after i my wish was express that i wanted an inside table Lady A indicating that indoor seating had been available. I also overheard her inquiring about reservations, suggesting that these patrons did not have one. Another patron seated near me was also offered an indoor table. Throughout this experience, Mr. J observed my predicament with the bees and proactively intervened to improve the situation. I shared my observations with him, and he offered me an indoor table, which I declined at that point. His exemplary teamwork and service in addressing the disrespect and unfavorable treatment I experienced were didpleased . My waiter, Mr. J.. was ok.. When I shared my observations with him, he suggested that Hostess A might have forgot about me. I found this particularly noteworthy given that two patrons were seated within arm's length of me, requiring her to navigate around me. My table was also positioned beside the entrance, a high-traffic area for incoming guests. While I acknowledged the possibility of oversight, I also reflected on the unfortunate phenomenon where individuals of differing skin tones are sometimes marginalized as in my case. I sat outside and while the bees was competing with my food. Mr. Jeh...consistently refilled my tea and checked on me frequently. The waiter also checked on me and acknowledged the bee issue. Mr. Jel ....was professionalism, kindness, and efficiency in attempting to rectify the situation were commendable. I would rate the waiter's quality as 3 out of 10, while Mr. jEl....service merits a perfect 10. Regarding the restaurant as a whole, I am profoundly disappointed. I had been enthusiastic about finding a tea house, as they are a rarity in South Florida.

Our server (very new) was absolutely amazing. He gave us the story behind the name, Katherine, who is the wife of James Beard nominee Chef Timon. The restaurant is a small white building. The menu looked wonderful and it took a while for us to decide but we did. *tuna crispy rice *chili garlic heirloom tomato (ordered bread as suggested) *iceberg wedge *red thai curry branzino This was absolutely the best dinner experience we've ever had. They have an outdoor patio, but we chose to sit at the bar so we could enjoy the lovely interior decor. It's very quirky and unusual inside! It was happy hour, so we availed ourselves of the specials! First, drinks! We had the Negroni and the Snazzy Nazzy, which is their take on an Old Fashioned. A Negroni is pretty standard, right? Not here - it's elevated with the addition of orange blossom water, which softens some of the Campari bitterness. The Snazzy Nazzy was simply divine. I have been resisting the whole "hot honey" trend, but honestly, there is a reason why everyone is losing their minds over it. The addition of hot honey syrup to the bourbon (Redemption!) took the taste to another level. I was blown away; this may have been the best cocktail I've had so far this year, and that includes a trip to the cocktail mecca of NYC. OK, on to the food. We had: -Tuna crispy rice -Whipped ricotta toast -Marinated jerk beets -Shrimp ceviche -Smothered clam chowder fries The HH / appetizer sizes are perfect - this was exactly the right amount of food for 2 people and provided a nice tour of the menu! For me, the standout was the beets. The flavor was perfection; complex and layered, and the soft texture of the beets contrasted beautifully with the crisp arugula salad they were perched upon. The ceviche was a happy accident; we had ordered the salmon crudo and they brought the ceviche. The server offered to swap it out but we like ceviche anyway, so we kept the swap. The passion fruit citrus leche de tigre was such a great addition to the shrimp and red onion. Fantastic! The tuna crispy rice was executed very well and the sourdough that came with the lemony, fresh whipped ricotta was lovely For me, the only misstep was the fries. I loved the concept, and the clam chowder was delicious; however, it made the fries completely soggy and the texture was a little off putting. This did not stop us from eating the whole thing! This idea maybe would work better in a nacho format, with thick tortilla chips instead of fries that would stand up to the chowder. Service was friendly and fast and we felt very welcomed! A great experience all around!
