Great service! The waiter was literally the sweetest guy. He tried really hard to help speak English with me which I appreciate because my French is nonexistent. Pizza was yummy could tell it was all fresh. They eat pizza here with a fork and knife here just a heads up. They only had one type of soda which was lemon flavored. Wanted to take a break from French food so I thought about Asian then thought google best pizza in Paris and La Beiciola came up. Reviews sounded good so we ventured to give it a try. The place was packed (a good sign) at 9:30pm. Be warned its a neighborhood spot so knowing some basic French phrases helps. Ordered the house antipasto and a nice assortment of cheese and roasted veggies came out with crusty bread. Drizzle some of the spicy table olive oil and wash it down with a bottle of Sangiovese. Next up two pies, a salami and a margarita. Like all the reviews the crust is great. Think classic French baguette but in pizza form. Nicely charged and not overly dressed. Overall a solid meal. Loved that no one spoke English and staff were friendly and enjoyable. Be sure to stop in at Little Red Door for a cocktail after (see my review). Cheers. read more

My wife and I LOVE food and much of our trips revolve around it, but we are not "foodies." As such, the food in Paris is incredible but navigating the menus can be exhausting. La Briciola may be the best Pizza that I have ever had, in an incredible setting and everything on the menu is great! We went tonight for the second time, and the food was just as good, if not better than the first. You can choose any pizza and you will be happy, but you must have the appetizer with Burrata cheese. My aunt and I were staying in a little apartment near La Briciola and dined here twice. The service was excellent and the food even better. Who knew the French could make such delicious Italian food?? lol The first night we had the pasta and salad of the day. The pasta had creamy pesto, tomatoes and eggplant. An absolutely wonderful Italian dining experience in Paris! The staff are friendly and helpful, the dining area is very comfortable and every plate that came by was mouth-watering good! I had a pizza with spicy Naples sausage, the closest thing they had to pepperoni. The crust, texture, flavor was all top notch! Who would have thought you could find great pizza in a non-Italian country that takes food so seriously? After several days of delicious traditional French food, my wife and I were up for something not so classically French. This is a smaller restaurant, so some French was helpful but not totally necessary to communicate with the staff. Be warned there are no menus in English. We started with a bottle of Sangiovese-very delicious and thirst quenching after a day of touring in the rain. For an appetizer we had the house antipasto with fresh mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted artichoke, squash, red pepper, and eggplant. Then we ordered the Quattro formaggio pizza and the pizza "diavolo"-spicy sausage- to share. This easily rivaled the best pizza in the states. We tried the "spicy sauce" on our pizza - red-pepper infused olive oil for a fun twist. We were there only a few minutes after they opened and got the last unreserved table. So, go early or plan ahead. Or if you're on vacation and enjoying Paris, have some wine and wait for a table to open up. Our server was awesome and she tried her English like we tried our French. Must say our restaurant service in Paris has been top notch so far. We would certainly go back when in the mood for Italian. read more

First off let me say that the pizza here was delicious! I had the Capriciossa, surprised that the olives in it were whole and with pits but I just took them off. I don't really care that much for them anyway. I would love to give this place 5 stars and if the food alone were enough, I would. Unfortunately, the service, at least from my experience as a single diner, was not very good. I stood at the front several minutes before I was acknowledged. Two women before me were told it would be about 10 minutes and the host/server saw me too but apparently thought I was with them, even after they went outside to wait and I remained standing there. To be fair, it was very busy but that is not an excuse. When I was seated he brought me a menu and even after I had decided what I wanted and put it down to let him know I was ready to order, I waited. Finally, after several minutes and practically staring him down to signal I was ready to order he came over. The food was served rather quickly after that. Not once did he come back and ask if everything was good or if I wanted another beer. I had to flag him down to order another beer which he promptly brought. The pizza is thin crust with a lot of whatever topping yours comes with so can not be eaten by hand. The sauce is perfect. Their knives could use some sharpening to cut through the outer crust. This rating is probably better than I would have given because the pizza is fantastic. The service; however, is very much lacking. And the waiter was cute too! By the way, to be clear I am not a spoiled American who thinks the service all over Paris is sub-par. I've had great service everywhere else on this trip to Paris. read more

Great smells emanating from this place. Good pies, too, even though you frustratingly can't eat then with your hands. This was great! Even though it opened at 8pm it was PACKED by 9pm. It was a lively crowd, mostly folks in their 20s, very respectful and into chatting with friends or being on dates. We had the appetizer with all the vegetables and that was kinda a bore. But our pizzas were delicious and we definitely enjoyed our wine (one of their cheaper reds). The service was friendly and attentive, even though we spoke English. I'd say this was a winner of a dinner! :) read more

We had 2 nights in Paris and made of point of returning here after discovering it on our last visit 4 years ago. The pizza here is absolutely excellent, and there's a ton of variety considering the size of the establishment. The cocktails and beer selection is great, and the location is perfect after a day of exploring the Marais. The staff here speaks English, Italian, French, and probably at least one more language, which is helpful for visitors. The ambiance is relaxed and cool without being pretentious or stuck up. Top notch pizza in the La Republique neighborhood (some call it the upper Marais). It is a quick walk from the said metro station. We did not have reservations but walked in there a few minutes before their 7:30 opening time and had no issues getting in. I got myself one of their red wines which was delicious. We ordered two pizzas for the main course, a white vegetarian and a red caprese. Both were amazing!! The service was impeccable. And to wrap things up, we got a Panna cotta and the texture and the fruits were so amazing. If you are in the mood for Pizza in Paris, then this place should be up there on your list. read more

Being a New Yorker I have had some great pizza. I have the city's best pizza (NY Times says so) up the street from where I live so the bar was high coming to this joint. I would say that it is the Motorino of Paris. The clientle seem similar, the presentation, the choices, everything but the pizza. As expected in Paris the cheese was excellent, but there is just something about the dough and sauce that doesn't make the full cut. I felt the crust was too hard and didn't have that taste that New York pizza does. Some people say that it is the water. Maybe. Despite not living up to my pizza roots the pizza here is really great and did exceed my expectations for sure. They get extra points for making the Neopolitan pizza sans frommage, just like my great grandmother from Naples did. read more

It's a block from where we're staying in the Marais, and always seems to be busy, so we looked it up online. David Lebovitz recommended it as one of Five Great Places in Paris That You Might Not Know About. The pizza is the wonderful thin-crust type I associated with Italy. The staff is incredibly friendly. We had the Diabola and Parma pizzas. The Diabola was topped with a spicy sausage like pepperoni. The Parma was topped with Parma ham. Both were very good, largely because of their great crust. I finished with a caramel panna cotta that was the best panna cotta I've ever had. The texture was perfect. My partner finished with the lemon-cello lemon sorbet, which he said was great. read more

Exceptional pizza with very friendly staff. We were a family of five and ordered three pizzzas, Margherita, di Parma and Vegetarian. The appetizer was anti pasta. We left with half a pizza. If you have a healthy appetite you may want to order one pizza per person. The waitress, I apologize for not knowing her name, but she had blond hair did a great job. The desserts looked fantastic and I am sure tasted the same but we did not have them. Too many other desserts during the day, macaroons, and other pastries.
