Ernest Hemingway is a total dive, and as a man from Seattle, I was immediately enamored with it. We were here on a Monday night and they were pretty busy, there were a ton of young people out and about, literally a girl in a dinosaur costume running around outside in the freezing night air of late January.
The bar tender was very pleasant and quick, granted it was Monday, and we were effectively given our beers and found a seat to enjoy the scenery.
If you're looking for something truly comfortable, which I think is pretty unique in the stuffiness that French culture prides itself on, I think that Ernest Hemingway is totally your place.
It's not a meal place by any means, it's just drinks and tables for socializing. If we return to Reims in our 20s, we'll probably hit this place up again. I highly recommend for young people looking for a good time.
