Well what to say…read more.. We looked at a few places online while in the hotel room before dinner and at a few others as we wandered round the town earlier....this little place had a tiny menu but looked smart and there were a couple of good reviews Ok let's go there then...oh dear...on entering, the room was basically divided into 2 with a bar area in the middle. A waiter in the bar; a waitress at the back where there were a couple of tables with people already eating (regulars?). The waiter gestured to sit where we wanted. The music was loud We chose a table and sat down looking at the menu but the music was distractingly loud...and overhead! But looking up it didn't matter where you sat because the speakers set in the ceiling where everywhere We asked if they could please turn it down; which they did, but not so you would notice We perused the menu, looked at one another and immediately thought the same thing: poor welcome (well, to be accurate, no welcome showing any interest in the paying client - immediate bad marks!), unnecessarily noisy music (which actually turned out to be a radio and not a playlist), nothing attractive enough on the menu to warrant staying any longer than necessary - we put the coats back on and left Maybe they thought we were just your average tourist...but with both of us having a significant number of years in France, both fluent in French and fully experienced in the wiles of Paris waiters, we didn't need this - there is always somewhere better when you are the one paying Had a great meal at La Paix instead! Which was nothing on Che Diego the next day!

We were in Reims for a Champagne tour. It was a very chilly day and we were ready for a nice hot…read moremeal. When we entered we were greeted by our server and he said he spoke a little bit of English (actually it turned out to be a lot). He sat us at a beautiful table that was fully set with silverware, water and wine glasses. I felt a bit underdressed in my jeans and my hair was a mess from being under a hat all day. It didn't matter, the staff was very friendly anyway. At the table next to us there were four men dining in suits but in the back of the restaurant there was a table of two more weary travelers in jeans and coats. There is a coat rack just by the front door where you can hang your heavy coat. I would not recommend leaving any valuables here though. On the menu there are many reasonably priced meals ranging from around 12€ - 16€. The menu is also fully translated into English. Among our group we had a French Onion Soup topped with two crispy, cheesy pieces of bread, a plate of Steak Frites that had a sauce I don't think I'll ever forget (in a good way), a tender and succulent braised pork shank, and by accident the Tripes a La mode Caen. The dishes were just plain delicious, except for the tripes which I will not venture to rate as until yesterday I had never had it before. I think it was too exotic for anyone in our party to appreciate. Our server and possibly the owner watched us pick at the tripe dish in amazement from behind the bar and smiled. The service was quick and friendly and we were in and out in less than an hour. That gave us enough time to walk around Reims for a little longer before catching our tour bus. For what was such an elegant experience the prices were very reasonable. When we were finished paying by credit card at the table was no problem. We do have a chip on our card but it's set up for signature not pin. I only wish we had time to try the desserts as they had profiteroles on the menu.

We needed a quick bite so we stopped in McDonalds to see how it differed from the states. Inside,…read morepastries were in display cases, more like a Starbucks than a traditional McDonalds. It's a two level restaurant, with kiosks to order from on each level. Table numbers are conveniently next to each kiosk so the servers can quickly find you and deliver your food. Be forewarned, McDonalds seems very popular with the youth of the city, so it is quite packed and turns into quite the party scene after dark. There were old school boomboxes held by bikers by the entrance to welcome you as the crowds poured in. As for the food, it was not quite the McDonalds we were used to. Burger was ok, but was not as juicy as the traditional American patty. Potato wedges were different and a nice chain. Cookie was ok. French fries were the weakest link. McDonald's fries are pretty iconic. One of those things you can taste in your mouth just remembering it since you grew up eating them. These had zero salt. It was just an empty potato flavor. So definitely get the wedges instead.

McDonald s in France isn't good in general maybe because I'm used to the one back home but here they always have dry burgers soft drink is flat and food is always cold. This place however had a really nice cashier all smiles which was nice and that makes it a much better time. Place is jammed back of course Saturday afternoon that's the way it goes but they have a terasse in the front which still gives u the France vibe even tho ur woofing down bad food.

Overall, I had a good experience here, but nothing extraordinary. We arrived around 6:30 pm and…read morewaited about 10 minutes to be seated. It was busy, but we beat the big rush leaving Disneyland, as about an hour later, there was a long line. We were squeezed between two tables, so not the most comfortable, but we made do. Service was average (seating, take your order, food delivered, take away dishes when done). The vegetal burger was interesting, with a beyond burger patty topped with vegan cheese, zucchini, bell peppers and eggplant. It came with a sweet kiwi (I think?) sauce on the side and fries. The food was good for being different from what we are used to in the US. The restaurant is themed like a US 1950's diner. Periodically, "50's" songs from the 1970's would play (Happy Days, Greased Lightning, etc.). Some of the staff even did a choreographed dance to Greased Lighting. Extra bonus for the entertainment.

The inside is cute with a large pinup statue inside. The food is reasonably priced for being right outside Disneyland and honestly a better deal than the places inside the park. My husband and I both got burgers after having one the worst burgers ever inside Disneyland yesterday. Compared to the burger from Disney, these two were both 5/5, however compared to a classic American burger, they were more like a 2 or 3. I enjoyed the fifty fifty burger more than the onion one. It was almost like a chicken burger on top of a regular bacon burger. It was huge and very filling. The chicken had a curry flavor and was fried well and still crispy. The burger patty was moist and a little pink in the middle. The other burger we got was the onion burger. While the grilled onions were delicious, the onion ring inside was a disappointment. It was soggy, not crispy at all and really just added a mushy texture to the whole burger. The bun was just a dry bread but at least the patty was well cooked. They both came with fries that were also better compared to the ones inside the park. They didn't have sauces like ranch so we had to eat the fries with ketchup and mustard. There was a special where you can get a burger and a brownie for a set price so we did that. The brownie was a nice slice with a large scoop of ice cream. It was nothing extraordinary but a nice dessert after a huge meal. Service was fine. Nothing amazing but nothing to complain about either. They had an English menu and spoke both English and French. I would definitely recommend eating here over someone in the park.
