Tapas are served to complement the champagnes. The crowd ist a good mixture of young people, families and winemakers from the region. It's not a cheap place but it's worth a visit and every "penny".

The champagne was very good, they had a wide selection. As for food, we got a trio of dips (pesto, carrot/peanut butter and a radish/goat cheese), that I wasn't a huge fan of. The pesto was best, but the other two were under seasoned (they do give salt on the platter for you to use) and nothing special in my opinion. We also got an order of their glazed pork and potatoes. Both were very good, the pork (I forgot the cut) was tender and flavorful but a little fatty. The potatoes came with an aioli and both were good. It's a fun place to just come and relax!

After a day of being rained upon we were drenched/saturated/waterlogged and highly resistant to going very far afield. Yet thankfully, down the street and round the corner we found a beacon of loveliness. There was just room for two more...it's a tiny place...and we sat down, grateful for a warm welcome. The wine bottles decorating the shelves are also the wine list, prices marked on each bottle for take out, add 8€ for drink in. A simple, effective way to Puck your fancy. We were cold and damp and our friendly waitress suggested 4 bottles, ranging in price and potency. Our choice was spot on- warm, fruity and capable of creating a mellow feeling. We also sampled the excellent 'simple' board of charcuterie, cheeses, fruit, nuts, olives and pickles. What a feast this was. Every mouthful a different taste combination and every one delicious. To top a great evening we were offered suggestions of places to visit tomorrow...all good although we might just wend our way back to Aux 3 P'tits Bouchons. A fabulous find.

Many of them speak some English, and are happy to help you select something. Everything is very reasonably priced. We…read morestayed at a hotel that was okay, but this dive became the great face of Reims that goes beyond the grandoise opulence of historical France and its pretentiousness. Ernest Hemingway is a total dive, and as a man from Seattle, I was immediately enamored with it. We were here on a Monday night and they were pretty busy, there were a ton of young people out and about, literally a girl in a dinosaur costume running around outside in the freezing night air of late January. The bar tender was very pleasant and quick, granted it was Monday, and we were effectively given our beers and found a seat to enjoy the scenery. If you're looking for something truly comfortable, which I think is pretty unique in the stuffiness that French culture prides itself on, I think that Ernest Hemingway is totally your place. It's not a meal place by any means, it's just drinks and tables for socializing. If we return to Reims in our 20s, we'll probably hit this place up again. I highly recommend for young people looking for a good time.

First time I ordered in French but I didn't know everything in French. When I spoke in English she instantly started complaining even though she understood what I wanted. After I paid she laughed to the people in line behind me about how I need to learn French. The same thing happened today -- I ordered in French but said one thing in English -- she instantly complained and I asked her if there was a problem. She said, "Yes I have a problem because you speak French and then English". It shouldn't matter because I'm spending my money here, you understood me and I was polite. She continued to argue with me until I had to walk away. Disgraceful service, poor attitudes, lazy minds, and just outright disrespectful!

This is a restaurant you will always remember, and the reason is Jérôme himself, who is the most delightful host. Chez Jérôme is a one-man show - Jérôme is the only person in sight, he does it all, flawlessly, and with a wonderful joie de vivre that is impossible to resist. There is no menu - you eat what Jérôme has prepared and is serving on the day you visit - and everything was delicious. The very small space was packed for lunch, we felt lucky to get the last remaining table, which straddled between the dining room in front and the kitchen area in back, but we were happy to be closer to the action. If we're ever lucky enough to return to Reims, we will seek out Chez Jérôme for another visit.

We made a reservation a few hours before, and were accommodated for lunch on a Thursday with our large party without any issues. We were sat against the wall with the fold down movie theater seats but be careful - when I stood up I ended up pulling my seat off and was no longer able to use the chair! Most of the diners in my party shared different burgers (which they all enjoyed and seemed to be enough to share). I selected the Le Wok de Canard which was a duck stir fry. It was very delicious and the meat was quite tender. It was served on a bed of thinly slides vegetables like carrots and zucchini. For being located in a smaller city (not Paris) I would have expected the servers to be a little more friendly but they were friendly enough for it not to impact our experience. I would recommend Les Cornichons but allow for more time to enjoy the decor and atmosphere.

We looked at a few places online while in the hotel room before dinner and at a few others as we wandered round the town earlier....this little place had a tiny menu but looked smart and there were a couple of good reviews Ok let's go there then...oh dear...on entering, the room was basically divided into 2 with a bar area in the middle. A waiter in the bar; a waitress at the back where there were a couple of tables with people already eating (regulars?). The waiter gestured to sit where we wanted. The music was loud We chose a table and sat down looking at the menu but the music was distractingly loud...and overhead! But looking up it didn't matter where you sat because the speakers set in the ceiling where everywhere We asked if they could please turn it down; which they did, but not so you would notice We perused the menu, looked at one another and immediately thought the same thing: poor welcome (well, to be accurate, no welcome showing any interest in the paying client - immediate bad marks!), unnecessarily noisy music (which actually turned out to be a radio and not a playlist), nothing attractive enough on the menu to warrant staying any longer than necessary - we put the coats back on and left Maybe they thought we were just your average tourist...but with both of us having a significant number of years in France, both fluent in French and fully experienced in the wiles of Paris waiters, we didn't need this - there is always somewhere better when you are the one paying Had a great meal at La Paix instead! We were in Reims for a Champagne tour. It was a very chilly day and we were ready for a nice hot…read moremeal. When we entered we were greeted by our server and he said he spoke a little bit of English (actually it turned out to be a lot). He sat us at a beautiful table that was fully set with silverware, water and wine glasses. I felt a bit underdressed in my jeans and my hair was a mess from being under a hat all day. It didn't matter, the staff was very friendly anyway. At the table next to us there were four men dining in suits but in the back of the restaurant there was a table of two more weary travelers in jeans and coats. There is a coat rack just by the front door where you can hang your heavy coat. I would not recommend leaving any valuables here though. On the menu there are many reasonably priced meals ranging from around 12€ - 16€. The menu is also fully translated into English. Among our group we had a French Onion Soup topped with two crispy, cheesy pieces of bread, a plate of Steak Frites that had a sauce I don't think I'll ever forget (in a good way), a tender and succulent braised pork shank, and by accident the Tripes a La mode Caen. The dishes were just plain delicious, except for the tripes which I will not venture to rate as until yesterday I had never had it before. I think it was too exotic for anyone in our party to appreciate. Our server and possibly the owner watched us pick at the tripe dish in amazement from behind the bar and smiled. The service was quick and friendly and we were in and out in less than an hour. That gave us enough time to walk around Reims for a little longer before catching our tour bus. For what was such an elegant experience the prices were very reasonable. When we were finished paying by credit card at the table was no problem. We do have a chip on our card but it's set up for signature not pin. I only wish we had time to try the desserts as they had profiteroles on the menu.
