Although the breading on it had an excellent taste, most of it crumbled off the chicken and exposed gross looking pale chicken. The skin of the chicken was definitely not fried properly and appeared to be partly raw. Once I bit into it, the chicken felt chewy and was partly pink inside. I got 5 wings and wished I had only got one to try cause I couldn't eat any of it. My husband thinks the chicken was read and fried while still frozen which kept it from frying properly. How can you skip steps in cooking and expect your customers to be happy and come back?? The shop itself is nice and has a big assortment of meats, but my review is based on what I purchased (fried chicken) which was pretty disgusting.

Keep in mind that if you buy steak at your local chain store supper market is cheap quality, often very badly butchered and overpriced, while a butcher has a deeper appreciation and respect for meat. You don't have to eat offal to be a meat lover, enjoying a good quality steak is sufficient and reason enough to bypass the chain store and go support your local butcher, local fishmonger and local whatever. Make friends with the owner and you'll see the good stuff that comes from this relationship. It's like going to a bar, if you're a good tipper, by the end of the night, your drinks are free.

The owner and butcher knows his meat. I had very good service coming from the butchers but the cashier/floor employee was so rude! I was the only person there and with my order of 250$ worth of brisket, it made her nervous because it prevented her from filling out her shelves. She made it quite clear about that. At one point, I even heard her say "osti" while at the cash register. It made my first time there quite unpleasant afterwards. I drove an hour to get to them... i would definitely return when in need of special cuts of beef and cross my fingers that she'll be in a more pleasant mood. That's why I gave it a 4 and not a 5 stars
