This restaurant had nice patio seating that was full but they were able to seat us inside. Staff was attentive and had a fairly good grasp on English. We all got a variety of tapas and coffee drinks. Many tried the bombón which was like a shot with a tube of sweetened condensed milk. If you like sweet, they said it was good. The goat cheese pastry was very tasty. The octopus unfortunately was a bit tougher than I cared for. The eggplant was very unique and something I've never had like that. Would definitely have again though. Good spot, reasonable prices and nice outdoor seating.

Had this as an appetizer back home and this version is so much better-salty, crunch outside, tender inside-beyond delicious! Next was the Carilladda de Cerdo (Pork Cheeks) had the taste/texture of Short Rib-super tender and tasty. Solomillo à la Poniente-tenderloin with creamy sauce taking it over the top. Pinchito de Cordero (grilled lamb cubes) so tender and without the gamey. Pulpo Frito (fried octopus)-first time having it and enjoyed it. De Buey (their mini burger)-cooked medium rare and leaves you wanting a few more. 2nd visit-Busanos (snails-not escargot), -Ostras (Oysters), -Flamenquin Cordobes (deep fried ham/cheese in a roll-delicious), -Lomo en Manteca (pork loin in lard mini sandwich), -Pinchito de longanizo (sausage skewer) a little spicy, nice snap and salty, -Sombretito de Cabra (fried goat cheese with honey) on the bottom, slice of eggplant and tomato, -Sardines ahumadas (smoked sardines) with tomato on bottom-salty oily-delicious, -Cazuelita de christorra de Arbizu-salty sausage pieces pair nicely with Bravas. Friendly servers behind the Bar. Melen took great care of me-A Local's favorite where you plan on spending a short time or a few hours and trying out a few of their delicacies paired with your beverages of choice. We got: Pulpo en salpicon - More like a salad, with diced tomatoes and onions, and we only found like 2 pieces of octopus in the entire dish. Although ignoring the fact that we signed up for octopus, I liked the flavors and found it quite refreshing. Sardines - Good, fairly standard. Bacalao (cod) al pil pil - This came highly recommended by the friendly local at the neighboring table. It's a pretty large dish, coming with two sizeable pieces of cod. I wasn't a huge fan of the dish, but not because of the execution, but because it's not to my palette. But I could find no fault with the dish - this was perhaps one of the most tender cods I've ever had and served as an excellent vessel for the pil pil sauce. Pil pil sauce turned out to be more of a creamier (and salty) white sauce, and I don't tend to like those sauces - but if you do, this may be your jam. All in all, nothing we had that I found astounding but not a bad meal. Prices did seem higher than in other cities (€3 for an oyster) but not sure if that's Malaga or this restaurant.
