I made an appointment after work, and I arrived on time. First impression, it was clean and well kept. I had to wait about 15 minutes while the hairdresser (I think Gary) was finishing up with another client. It was fine, I was not in a rush. When it was my turn, Gary greeted me and he was a ball of energy. He mentioned it was a really busy day and he made himself an espresso (offered me one too) and began washing my hair. It seemed like he was in a rush and washed quite quickly. He consulted me on how I wanted to get it cut, and I explained, and showed him a couple quick examples. I just wanted some layers. He said that will be easy and started cutting my hair. He was quite speedy, which was concerning at first, but I was chatting with him the whole time and became distracted. Gary is a great conversationalist! After the cut, he round-brushed my hair and it had some curls. It looks nice and I was satisfied. He quickly cashed me out and went off to his next client. My entire appointment lasted about 40 minutes from washing to cashing out. So why the three stars? Today I straightened my hair and I think it looks ridiculous! Left side, top layers appear to be significantly shorter than the bottom layer; whereas the right side is blended pretty well. I am not happy with this. The experience at the salon was a solid 5 stars, but the cut... 1. I might still go back to them for a quick blow-out, but I am a little skeptical about getting my hair cut. In fact... I will have to be careful about rushed appointments in general. I want to recommend this salon, but I am torn. Please make sure you talk to them carefully about how you want your hair cut, and inspect it carefully after.
