We were very fortunate to receive a nice tasting from the brewer's daughter - Le Petite Princesses - which is a 2.9% saison collaboration with Jester King - very refreshing, and amber ale and a biere de Garde which was excellent. The tasting room decor and ambiance is superb (see photos). The brewer, Daniel, started his brewery 20 years ago and had been home brewing since he was a teenager. He's done an excellent job and continues to expand.

The waiters were pleasantly crazy, spoke english & french, the food was served fast & tasted great. I had mussels in garlic sauce (12€) my boyfriend a Mexican omelet (10€) both were served with home made fries, I wish I could have finished it all but it was simply too much. The atmosphere was like a pub, informal, popmusic playing, but not too loud, tv's on with football & no sound, but easy to avoid. And all the other customers seemed to be locals, kissing the waiters goodbye as they left. If I were to return to Calais, I'd go again.
