Then, allow the friendly staff to bring as many items from the menu as you can handle. Come with a group so you can share. An absolute must is the whole fish done à la Contramar, one side of the split fish coated in a punchy parsley sauce and the other in a red adobo rub. Served with flour tortillas (which are refillable) and black bean dip, you'll be instructed how to compose perfect bites. Then, choose your own adventure! We also had both the 4 piece each shrimp tostadas and tuna tostadas. Radically different so getting both doesn't duplicate. The pasta (spaghettini) with clams was buttery and garlicky and the pasta was surprisingly not overcooked. Biggest surprise was the grilled soft shell crabs (with corn tortillas). They came pre cut then reassembled so it was easy to pick them up and pop them in your mouth. The grill flavor was fantastic and we were all impressed. We finished with a slice of coconut cake which was like a caramel coated macaroon. Perfect! Large wine list by the glass and bottle, many cocktails, sangria and beer to choose from. The tacos were incredibly fresh and flavorful. We tried the jalapeño-stuffed tuna, smoked marlin, and a tuna-shrimp combo--each one was excellent and cooked perfectly. But the real star is the self-serve toppings bar. The variety of toppings, salsas, and fresh house-made sauces takes the tacos to a whole different level and lets you customize every bite exactly how you want it. Paired everything with cold Coronas and Topo Chicos, and it was such a satisfying, no-frills but high-quality meal. Generous portions, great flavors, quick service and absolutely worth the price. If you're in Mexico City and craving amazing fish tacos, El Pescadito is a must. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

My friends and I went to La Cueva for some cocktails and dinner. This is a cocktail bar with no restaurant-style seating. So we filled up on small plates of ceviche, tostadas de atun, and guacamole (with chapulines on the side for the skurd Americanos). I'm not a huge fan of chapulines (grasshoppers) but La Cueva makes the best I've tasted to date! They must be seasoned in soy sauce or Maggi's.... delicioso! We had three craft cocktails (really, four, because one specific drink was BOGO), three apps; and our bill was $50. Well worth the food/drink/service/atmosphere and experience.
