We loved it so much that we went two consecutive nights. Both nights we had a wonderful red wine, Chateau Tour Boisee. My wife enjoyed the Charolais Steak with Fries so much that she ordered it both nights. That is saying a lot for a Texas ranch girl. On the first night I ordered duck stew (cannot remember the French name). A succulent tender duck leg with cabbage and vegetables. Cannot be compared to any other duck dish I have eaten. Very nice. However, the second night was the dish I now crave. Cassoulet of White Beans, duck sausage and roasted duck. The most amazing stew I have ever put in my mouth. My mouth is watering as I type. Not only did we have the most amazing food of our entire trip but on both nights we chatted with a few very nice people. On the first night a Frenchman eyed our food quiet obviously and when he finally talked to us, in broken English, he ordered the steak. He must have enjoyed the food as well because we saw him on the next night with a large crowd. Our second night was spent in casual conversation with a Toulouse local and a Brazilian. Such fun! Our waiter had spent time in Las Vegas so he was able to converse in English. He was a very affable and busy young man. Yes the tables are close ... not unlike most French restaurants. But this helped us become acquainted with our neighbors. GO

The duck breast was nice but the fries that came with with were fantastic. The waitress told me later that they were cooked in duck fat. No wonder! I had a vanilla with cherry ice cream that reminded me of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia but there was a healthy spash of Armagnac brandy that madeit interesting. I had to take one star away for the cramp seating arrangements outside but overall, a great place to dine and people watch in Toulouse!
