It is on a busy stretch in the Capitole district filled with restaurants and shops. The restaurant is small and intimate. And there is only a handful of menu items including the restaurant's namesake item. Aligot is a cheesy mashed potatoes dish. Usually French food has a reputation for being expensive, but I found the pricing to be affordable. Tried the cassoulet here with a glass of red wine and it did not disappoint. Service was also friendly. I will say that you must like the menu to dine here given the limited offerings.

I had the aligot with sausage on the side and a glass of red wine and it was absolutely fantastic! The aligot and sausage were both better than I had expected them to be. The owners are LOVELY and so friendly and courteous. Even though my French was abysmal, the male owner who I interacted with the most was very helpful and friendly and chatted with me about his trip to America with his wife earlier in the summer. I definitely didn't feel like a stereotypical "American tourist." The owners also speak Spanish and have menus available in French, English, and Spanish. If you're in Toulouse, stop by Aligot Bar for a good time with great food!
