I never been to this park but I looked in that area and this park looked nice and seemed to have trails for our kids hiking levels. The kids loved this park, amazing trails, not that hard that go inside the woods or along the river. Lots of scenic stops, and lots of fun in general. What made us very happy is that this park ALLOWS DOGS (a big thing in Quebec). The park is also very popular as a fishing spot, or for mushroom pickers. The entry is about 5-7$ pp and there is free parking, you can see all the details and trails on the park site, they are also very friendly (and speak English) over the phone. Overall a well deserve 5 stars !

I open google maps and started to look for close parks we never visited before. This park is less than an hour drive, so close and looked so promising. Well it delivered everything it promised. If you are into bird watching this is perfect for you. If you want to see other type of wild life (we sae deer's, snakes, beavers, turtles, racoons, field mice...so many creatures) its a must for you and if you just want to experience nature with its great trails and views...perfect. The admission is very low (less than 6$ per person), there is free parking, nice coffee shop and the entrance and a cool playground about 1 Km into the trail. Also cool geocaches if you are into it. A wonderful place for the entire family, they dont accept dogs but with all the animals I understand.

I'm not a hiker nor have I ever claimed to be one I do my cardio and weights at the gym but let me tell you this trail was so steep for the first 45 minutes I thought I was gonna fall over lol. We started off at the side where all the Coca Cola chairs are and decided this was the fastest way home. It was a great hike down a lot to see the view is gorgeous of course, and there was a little stream so we could freshen up. It took about 1.5 hours down really wasn't that bad and I would do it again. The lady at the ticket booth really doubted us wasn't friendly at all but that didn't stop us from going up and hiking back down like. Champions. She said 2.5 hours but we cut that in half because we the best lol. I suggest to anyone to hike down the ski side and not follow the foot trail it'll take longer and who has time for that ?

If you are facing the Gondola Lift follow trail to the left of the gondola. Different degrees of difficulty along the way en route to the top of the mountain, and you can decide where you want to stop. The waterfalls are right at the start, but about half way up the trail - you will also have a great view of the area and great spot for a picnic. Enjoy, and remember mosquito repellent, good hiking shoes, and water.

We biked here from out in Mile End so after a hectic ride through the city, arriving on this island was heaven. It's deeply peaceful and really really fun to ride around on, amazing bike paths rolling through quiet trees and protected, diverse nature. People are here fishing, walking, kayaking and generally relaxing. I didn't find any earth shattering views or anything like that, but a real sense of peace really close to the heart of the city.

The outhouses were not bad at all either, equipped with hand sanitizer. Our rustic campsites were spacious, but we chose one that was a bit too open. The neighbours didn't arrive until later so it was ok. The trails were very well maintained. Didn't feel like I was hiking an intermediate trial because there was no treacherous terrain to climb through. We had to leave early because there was a storm and it got too cold, but I'd love to come back and see the rest of the huge park!
