Tucked away amongst the samey seafood restaurants on the seafront, this intimate traditional Spanish restaurant serves a comprehensive selection of tapas, washed down with local charm and incredibly friendly service. We were served by David, who was very patient with us trying out our very limited Spanish vocab skills. He was constantly smiling and didn't seem to resent speaking to us in English. We ordered a variety of tapas between 4 of us, including flavoursome anchovies, super-fresh calamari, a local octopus stew and some very brave patatas bravas! We particularly enjoyed the albondigas (scrumptious meatballs) and the capresi salad, ordering two portions of each. A very filling meal for 4 including a bottle of cava and some sparkling water came to €96 without service charge and we were very happy to tip. We'd go back again, no doubt

I had some tapas, which were all seasoned amazingly. As a main dish I shared a seafood platter, again really tasty and of good quality. They gave us little refreshers through meals that were on the house, such as shots of gazpacho and mango sorbet and liquor for the grownups at the end of our dining. 10/10, would recommend.

You see Paella all over Spain. Practically every restaurant in Spain serves it and I'm positive…read moremany are an amazing meal. But if you're seeking for an overall dining experience, this is the absolute best you're going to get. Let me start by saying that I'd like to consider myself as somewhat of an expert on food. I'm passionate about it and was raised in New York with exposure to so many cultures and cuisines. One thing in my 30 years that I've somehow skipped is Paella. I've had Peruvian, Cuban, Columbian, Puerto Rican, and many other Latin flavors, but never this. To top that off, my Colombian fiancé was raised on rice every day of her life and absolutely hates it. Have you ever seen a Latin girl hate rice? Furthermore, the drive to this place is 40 minutes from the center of Valencia and at the end of very run down farm houses. My take? This was, without a doubt, the best rice dish I've ever had in my life! My rice-hating fiancé rolled her eyes in food-gasmic fashion! Every bit was mmmm....ohhhh...oooh!!! Ok so the rice is about a centimeter above the pan. Very shallow. So you're getting this crispy, crunchy, and spongy mouthfeel. Then the flavor hits you. Not spicy in the slightest. It's fresh it's wonderful. A squeeze of lemon kicks it up a notch for me. There's Italian style green beans and artichokes in the mix. And the chicken...perfectly cooked and seasoned. We ordered the Paella Valencia which we were told is most traditional. You'll leave STUFFED and the cost is extremely reasonable at €16! Then, there's the view! Oh how heavenly! Sparkling water leading to lush mountains. There's a small private beach just outside where you won't deal with many people. I beg of you, if you're in Valencia do NOT miss this meal. I'll remember it to my dying day.

The customer service was very good and the food was delicious. I'd never had paella before trying it here and now I'm hooked. If you are anywhere in the area I definitely recommend stopping by.

We were recommended…read moreto come here from a local that told us to skip on the tourist traps and to go to Sagardi in Valencia where we can have authentic Spanish cuisine. So we went there and had tapas and sangrias. The fresh tapas come out like every 5-6 minutes the servers will walk the fresh plate to every table and put what ever was left on the bar counter where the other tapas are. So pretty much you sit where you want or ask a server to be polite, then you sit order drinks and if you want the tapas from the bar - they are self serve or as I mentioned the fresh from the kitchen warm tapas will come from the kitchen and a server will come to your table and offer them. You will be charged by how many food picks or spoons are on your table and that's it. It's super easy and quick. Our parties favorites were the burger tapa, the croquetas, and the chorizo tapa. Personally I also really enjoyed the sausage tapa, pizza tapa and the anchovies tapa. Ask the waiter behind the counter for any recommendations. The bacon wrapped croqueta tapa was delicious too I didn't take a photo because I immediately ate it!! They have clean rest rooms. The only thing is the door to get to the restrooms is a little heavy so if you are with elderly or have a disability ask a server to help you. Other than that good music played, and it was a cool environment. Enjoy!

We have lived in Valencia for 10 years and this was the worst pour we have ever gotten. It was a like a half of a glass of wine. Then, when we got the bill, we discovered that we had been given the most expensive red wine by the glass on the menu. So basically we paid 7,50€ a glass for 2 half glasses of wine. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. It is totally touristy these days and the wine is a rip off. The pinchos were okay though. There are many other great choices for tapas in Valencia. We will not be back.
