I just went for a solo take away dinner and had a drink while I waited for the food to be made. The bartender was nice and helpful. She spoke English (and I assume German). I waited about 10-15 minutes for my penne arrabiata, which was delicious. It does have a noticeable spice/ kick, but it is tasty as long as you can handle some level of spiciness. They also have mini haribo gummy bears as a little free treat. I did not dine in, but the inside/patio seemed quite lovely. Here's pictures of the menu too. read more

Even though the place was packed and people were waiting in the entrance for a table, once we were seated we got our food in less than 30minutes. The manager was doing his best to seat everybody as fast as possible and even served us some sparkling wine to ease the wait. We ordered both pizza and pasta and both were amazing quality. Great pasta and an English menu helps a lot also. Pasta was hand made and very tasty. Easy to get to from public transit.

We came to this location two days after having dinner in the one located in Leopoldstraße. The experience was as good as the first one both in food quality and service. The prices and the pizza are both so good that this place is packed every day of the week, we have seen reviews complaining about service and I guess that at times when it's full house they must fail somehow, but in out experience with the place halfway full, the service has been good and far better than what German places use to offer. Pizzas are big, you can easily share one and share some salad as well. Delicious. read more

It is hard to give this place only three stars, but I cannot in good conscience give it more. I have been here on three separate occassions now. The food (which I will talk about more later) was excellent but the service leaves much to be desired. They are either understaffed with servers or have servers that don't care. They are constantly rushing about, looking stressed and frazzled. When you tried to grab one to ask for something, you get an out-of-breath "just a minute" and then have to wait another 10 minutes before trying to catch them again. We called to make a Reservation and were told that since it was only two of us, to just come by. Upon doing so at 18:00 on a Saturday evening, the place was full and the host said he would try to find us something. When he did, he said we could have it, but only until 19:00. Do I Need more than an hour to sit down, order a drink, decide on and order dinner, eat said dinner, pay and leave? Maybe not. But I also don't appreciated being rushed through my meal especially when I tried to make a reservation and was told not to. This was rather frustrating and we decided in the future to just make a reservation for four and show up as two if we cannot find anyone to join us for dinner. All that being said for the service, the food is quite good. Especially for a chain Restaurant. I have had both Pizza (which is huge!!) and Pasta now. Though I enjoyed the Pizza both times I had it, I loved the Pasta. I ordered the Penne with Italian Sausage, Lauch, and cheese. It was amazing. The Pasta was perfectly cooked, the sausage was spicy but not overpowering and there was just enough Lauch to add some different texture. All this was in an olive oil based sauce (not creamy) and was very light. My friend had ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and, though quite a simple dish, was most pleased. We both remarked a few times how sad it was that the service was so poor. The restaurant is quite small inside, making things a little tight. We were here once in the summer and, even though the terrace is open and full of tables, they really pack things in and squeeze as many tables together as possible. This makes what could be a nice dining experience rather uncomfortable and is a real shame. As I know there are some other L'Osteria around the city, next time we are in the mood for Pizza or Pasta, I will be trying out one of the other locations. One very large plus is that leftovers can be taken home... which in the case of the Pizza is a very good thing! read more

What an absolute disappointment. The service is disgraceful. We had booked a table and came 3 minutes late due to being tourists and had taken a wrong turn and our table was gone. Normal restaurants wait at least 5-10 minutes before giving it away. The head waiter was so nonchalant. Then when we finally got a table the waiter we got was even more nonchalant. He didn't even bat an eye, it was very difficult to get his attention. It was quite obvious that he was just not interested. The only saving grace is a female waiter who's very warm and nice. The only good staff around. And about the food; we ordered appetisers and they did not arrive at the same time. Took at least 10-15 minutes before the other one came. Then for the main course one of had ordered a pizza. The 3 dishes came at different times and the pizza, which had turned out to be burnt and remade, came after we had almost finished our pasta dishes. We were only informed after about 15 minutes what had happened. Food is supposed to come at the same time. Not with a 20 minute difference. The food is above average for sure but is it worth it with this awful service? Absolutely not. Get better hospitality. Treat your paying customers better. read more

Mixed salad had nice fresh greens but way too much dressing. Pizza was good too - crust has a great texture, only issue is the sauce is a wee bit bland. Spicy salami helps. Service is attentive - the place is way loud when crowded though. I want to try the pasta next time and may update review to 4 stars if its good ... Outdoor patio will be fantastic in good weather and may be another reason to add another star. read more

Skip it, don't even bother. Pizza's are huge and can easily be shared with another person, but what they provide in size they lose in the taste department. Walk down towards Wiener Platz where there are two much better Italian options. read more
