The lady I spoke too, Andrea, was beyond nice. I was stoked to see our home goods were going to be in a safe place. A few reasons why I picked this one is it's right out the back gate of Hurlburt Field, it's gated, you need a code to open it, they have a waived fee rental truck you could use, and the price was a steal. They also offer boxes, tape, etc. for purchase. I highly recommend going here if you're in the area. Again Andrea, Sweetest girl to have helped me in such a short notice. Thank you Freedom Storage.

Very responsive, flexible and helpful. This new company is TERRIBLE. Payment plans are a pain. Almost worse then trying to get ahold of a person to talk to. I have never a payment over the years, but they act like im a hobo looking for a shed to crash in. I am actively looking for a new facility to store my items. Look elsewhere.

I was stationed at Eglin and used this storage to place extra items when downsizing. It is one of…read morethe closet storages to the base, new and was being renovated during the time I was there. The guy who ran the counter was really nice and accommodating. There are units you can access inside the building, but I had one outside on a gravel area. When it was time to move out and PCS there was huge boat in the way which did cause me a few issues. There seemed to be some kind of disconnect between the manager and the owner about the vesicle. The boat was removed just in time for TMO which is why the rating is not a 5. If I could have gotten the boat moved sooner; I would have definitely given it a higher rating, because I had no issues while there for so long. I had a non-climate control unit which would get a few spiders if you did not come broom them off after a while, but that is normal for those kind of storages and not a deal breaker for me. The area where my unit was had a small entry, I added pictures to give you an ideal but it may have changed by now. Some pictures show the space between my unit and the boat. After I left the manager contacted me and apologized for all the inconvenience that I was caused. He also promised me that no other service member or other customer would ever have this kind of issue again. I greatly appreciated him apologizing, it can't change the boat issue, but it shows me he is dedicated and want to make sure customer service stays at the forefront. Since many military folks like myself reside near this storage that made me feel a bit better about the situation. I would recommend this storage unit now since I know that if there is a issue the owner promised to make it better, which is what I expect from a business holding my life's possessions.

Owner stated, "poor planning" to me when I called her to advise I couldn't find the email I assumed…read moreshe had sent me (she had never sent it) to advise of my unit number and gate code! I had simply called to say I couldn't find the email and we were at the gate with our furniture and needed the info. She was at least "kind" enough (if you need to call doing your job an act of kindness) to call her son to get the info from him and then call me back, but when she did call back, I voiced how incredibly rude her "poor planning" comment was and we no longer wished to do business with her. She launched into a tirade about how she had a wait list, would have no trouble finding a new renter, and how she wishes me luck in finding storage somewhere else since everyone is full. I actually had to interrupt her rant to ask for a refund. I wasn't interested in the least bit about her replacement business, nor did I need her "luck" wishes since we already had other storage lined up. She did provide a refund, but the extreme nature of her reactions to a simple request for our unit number and gate code and then to our request to cancel our business, left such a bad taste that I felt compelled to tell others of my experience. Fellow veterans and/or military members, take your business elsewhere!
