I like their products on occasion as they are expensive. The stores are generally small but they pack a lot in for a nice selection. If you find a scent you like buy it, as they do discontinue things seemingly quite frequently. read more

I love the products and variety they offer. The customer service is pretty non-existent though. I came in to exchange a bottle of perfume I bought for almost $90, and the top broke off after using it once. The key holder suggested to fix it when it was clearly leaking, and I declined. She became so rude and condescending. This is why people would rather shop online. read more

Worst experience at a store, I had a return and Jody took the girl before me even though she was still shopping. I explained to her how I have never had that happen to me before and she said sorry and proceeded to still ring her up. Also she charged me for an item I never got. I plan to report this store, seems like an upset employee who has to work in retail. I will never shop here again. read more

OK, quite awhile ago I discovered a "salon" shampoo that worked really well for me. About a year after I started using it, it was discontinued. After some searching, I discovered that L'Occitane had a great shampoo that worked just about as well. I used that for a couple of years and they discontinued that. I tried a similar one to it and used it - but, guess what - that one was discontinued too, apparently. I had learned that at the outlet store in Rosemont. So I went without for awhile then stopped by the Oak Brook shop a couple of weeks back. I spoke with Denise there and explained my situation. She pointed me to an alternative, which I wasn't necessarily impressed with based on look and fragrance alone. Denise knew that a 1.1 oz version of the product was included in a three piece sampler kit priced at $17.50, so she comped the kit for me so I could try the shampoo for more than the one or two times that a normal sample would allow. I've actually been able to use it for almost two weeks and I am seeing a difference in my hair again versus over the counter grocery store shampoo. I plan to return to the Oak Brook store and get a full bottle in the coming week. Great customer service, Denise - thanks. read more

I love L'Occitane. Say, L'ox-si-tahn. There is no better skin care out there if you ask me! I recently discovered them within the last six months. Yes it costs a fortune, but you pay for what you get. And I love that. Their stuff is not heavily scented: you'll have to run to bath and body works across the way if you want to smell like tootie fruttie sweets n bootie. Stuff here is sophisticated smelling and clean. When you try the L'Occitane hand cream, you will never return to any brand. And the shae butter- BEST EVER. It thick, pure, rich, and you can put it on everything! Hands, face, all over... It's almost as if I'm describing... Nevermind... Seriously though. The French do the best at skin care, and this store is a perfect example. Yes, it's a chain, but I'm giving credit where credit is due. I have been to the store multiple times, and I have always been greeted in the staff has been friendly to me. Some ladies seem a lot more knowledgeable than others, but everyone has always been able to answer my questions to some proficiency. It's so nice to have helpful customer service. read more

I came in on a mission - to sample a men's fragrance legendary among those in the know. Eau des Baux. I inquired where I might find the men's eau de toilettes, and the sales associate kindly assisted me, allowing me to sample a few of their top scents, including cade and eau des baux. I favored EdB, but wasn't ready to make a purchase. She didn't push, but gave me a bag spritzed with fragrance to remind me of the scent. I returned the next day to complete the sale, and she recognized me immediately. I was happy with how I was treated and am beyond happy with this fragrance. read more

Love the products here. My favorite items are the almond line. I love the almond bath oil, I swear, it's like being in heaven for the few seconds that I use it in the shower and my skin feels soft and supple afterwards. The workers here are really nice and knowledgeable about the product. They sell without being too pushy. I would love to have everything in this store, but it's a lot of moola though! The store is really small and cramped, they really didn't have moms with strollers in mind when they designed the layout of the store. I have an uppa baby vista and it's almost impossible to maneuver through the whole store with it. read more

My sister turned me on to L'occitane and she is right, their products are the best. Better than La Mer I have to admit! This may sound weird but their shopping bags are the best out there! Purchased a calming cream on Saturday the sales person said it was the same one I was searching for and used. Got home and compared the product.. not the same one. Brought it back with the receipt on Tuesday for a refund. Paid cash The very rude salesperson would not refund my cash Only store credit. This store needs to learn customer service either from the State Street/Block 37 or Michigan Avenue/900 North stores, who are incredibly friendly and helpful. What a behavior change when you have a $10 off coupon. And then thank you for taking it and not applying the coupon. I definitely will buy these products elsewhere. read more

I was disappointed when I walked into this location to buy my favorite hand lotion in the smaller size for my purse and when I stopped to ask the young lady behind the counter where they kept them she very snobbishly and with an eye roll to boot saids "behind the counter" and proceeds to ignore me. When I asked her for one she explained to me that she'd help me when she was done with her current customer. The joke here is there was not a soul standing in front of her and the only other customer besides the second sales girl was still looking around. Needless to say I told her not to worry about it and proceeded to walk right out. Only to hear her say with a smile "sorry I couldn't help you!" Eye roll Guess I'll just have to order online from now on... Too bad you can't give out zero stars because they surely deserve it! read more

Ro, is lacking in her customer service skills. Products are good, but I can get skincare products and hand lotion anywhere. I tried to return a gift with the original receipt and she only wanted to give me a store credit. Sometimes, you get a sale and sometimes, you get a return. That's how retail works, Ro.
