You can't miss with gift sets from L'Occitane. I had never used their products until a stay in Cabo a few years ago. All the bath products in my Casita were L'Occitane. As soon as I returned to Dallas I bought some and have used them since. Whenever I need a gift nothing universally satisfies like L'OCCITANE. Now for the pronunciation lesson. I have been to this specific location only once, my experience was very positive, cordial staff, helpful and efficient. The store is nicely laid out and it is easy to locate products. I really love their products just a bit pricey to buy all that I live in this store, so I shop the brand when I want to pamper myself once in a while. read more

I didn't plan on buying anything at L'Occitane, but I love looking at their stuff. Soap from France is better I tell myself. The girl that came in before me seemed to love their Verbena. She wanted the Verbena shower gel for $20. Then I wanted it too. The sales people said that there's a Holiday special & only 2 left. She bought one, so then I bought one too. I gotta have it. Such a copy cat. It was the Verbena hand wash + Verbena hand lotion in a Metal Basket & Holiday Box for $32 + $2.64 (8.25% sales tax) = $34.64. Credit cards taken. We each got a tiny sample of their Verbana Shower Gel. Oh joy. I asked how to get on their Friends & Family Discount - Still they wouldn't be my friend! Someone can help a poor girl out? read more

I looove looove this place. From the clean relaxing setup to the non-pretenciois folks who work here; it's my haven. I always pick up something from here every time I'm at VF...but yesterday a sweet and beautifulll gal named Katy helped me kick start my skincare routine. I came in wanting to get the almond oil and perfume but ended up with something so much more amazing!! I've been eyeing the immortelle product line and yesterday I finally made a jump for it! I absolutely love everything Katy recommended and my skin already feels oh so soft and amazing. I feel blessed...my better half didn't even say anything when I told him I went crazzzzzay $$$$ at Loccitane...he even said buy more! *maybe super size of all favorites products* feeling giddy with happiness now. TERRE DE LUMIÈRE EAU DE PARFUM is my new favorite scent..smells delicious, warm and cozy. Arlsienne seems like a new scent and it's nice but Neroli is still the better. read more

I love their product but they really have a bad customer service when you return something, especially online items. They said they can't accept because they don't carry it. They can't refund it back to the credit card because the receipt had no credit card.... a bunch of bull shit. They event ask to return a one time use gift that come with it... in sachet. Unbelievable I have to admit their product is good and very pricy. But the sales person.... just make me not willing to step in to the store to look. read more

I love L'Occitane's hand cream. It is absolutely the best hand cream ever. Except for the fact that sometimes the smell of it reminds me of babywipes, I'd say it is darn near perfect. I first read about L'Occitane in 2003 when Madonna mentioned she liked their lotion in InStyle Magazine. They didn't have any stores in near me in the US so when I was travelling abroad in Europe I stocked up on their hand cream. Little did I know they would be opening up everywhere. Well it is now 2007 and I down to my last tube. I can't get enough of this stuff. And their candles smell fantastic! I won't buy them though because they are expensive and I'd rather waste my money on overpriced luxurious hand cream. read more

************************** 527 **************************** They have the best hand cream ever and my Dad is in love with it! We normally shop at Nordstrom for points, but we came in here to see what else they have. My parents wouldn't leave! Great collections as they have in NYC boutique. The blonde with beautiful layers hair was so patient with my folks. I got to praise her for that. Got more hand and feet creams for Dad. When it comes to your beauty and health, price shouldn't an issue, so Dad said! read more

I have been a L'Occitane customer for years and their lotions and candles are awesome! Their lotions contain shea butter as the main ingredient and lasts a long time without the super greasy feeling. Their Turkish rose scent is amazing, with out the old lady rose smell.. Candles last for 25 hours (as described on their labels) and fills up the entire room! Customer service has never been an issue with me, unless sometimes they are inundated with customers, then of course there is a lengthy wait... Overall highly recommended for the sand paper hand people like me :-) read more

I'm in love with their Rose line. They are also very proud of their hand cream... and by that I mean it's hella expensive! If I'm already at Valley Fair, I will always stop and put some hand cream on.. I can't afford to buy it on my own. Would someone PUHLEASE hook me up? JK :) I do appreciate all of the samples that the nice girls behind the counter give me when I buy something. Is there a L'occitane outlet out there by any chance? read more

Their hand creams here are amazing! Normally I don't shop at stores like this because their products are so ridiculously expensive... But since I got a free 30mL Shea Butter Hand Cream coupon on FB ($10 value), I came in to try it out ...and they made my hands feel so moisturized and soft! read more

Expensive as unicorn shit but these products are the best! And the employees are helpful, not pushy and friendly :) I got a mini facial so I got a chance to try the products before I committed to them. I paid a little over $100 for a serum and night cream but I am glad I splurged. I have been using drugstore products to help get rid of unsightly hyperpigmentation on my cheeks from acne in my teens. Unfortunately the percentage of active ingredients in drugstore products are too low to produce the drastic results I needed. I have spent many years and a lot of money on "affordable" products that didn't work. So I don't feel bad spending more on stuff that actually works. It's been less than two weeks and I already see a huge difference in my skin. So if you are looking for high quality skin care products, definitely try this place! read more

Being a Francophile, I wandered in here when I saw the name. If Anthropologie had a fully blown bath and body product line, this would be it (only, it's packaging would be less rustic and more dainty :). They're also on the pricy side ($14+ for shower gel), but hey, it's French! I purchased their Shea Butter hand cream, and was impressed - it is one of their (and therefore, one of Sephora's) top-selling items for hand/lotion care. You might find it on the rich side and prefer to use it at home when giving yourself some pampering rather than on the go. Their shower gels are not up to snuff for me - they smell nice, but you go through the bottle super quickly because they aren't very strong/thick/sturdy? However you'd define it, I get more mileage out of other brands. But I do like their linen water, and if you're into bar soaps, they've got tons. Guest soaps for the guest soap dish, mixed tins for your bathside, etc.. They also have lots of little pre-made packages (which tend to be full price, even though they're wrapped together) which are great for gifts. I really tend to go back here not for any of these, but for two scents in two lines - Lemon Verbena and The' Vert (green tea). These two perfumes make me happy, the green tea especially, and are great for every day wear. They also have other scents and scent related things (room sprays and massage oils, etc.) that I'm not into - very kitcheny/spice oriented things, like olive oil, lavender, rose etc. read more

My hands were drying out from constantly-washing-my-hands-due-to-changing-a-million-baby-diapers-a-day syndrome. L'Occitane's hand cream totally saved my poor dry cracked hands. My bloody knuckles were smooth again after a day. read more

Prior to opening in Valley Fair, the nearest L'Occitane stores were in San Francisco. My husband was quite happy it was "not close by" as he saw how much I would spend there. When we found out they were opening up a store in Valley Fair, his heart sank while mine soared (HA!). I LOVE their stuff. Their shea butter line is awesome and not greasy/filmy at all. Any of the lavender scented products are wonderful, too (my fave scent). The candles last a long time...wonderful scent w/out being too powerful. I can't say enough good things about their products. And when you pay, don't forget to ask for the free samples : ) read more

I've been an avid L'Occitane customer for years! What initially got me hooked is their lavender line. Just the scent helps my mind feel less stressed. In fact whenever I'm out of town on business, my toiletries are L'Occitane's lavender line as well as carrying a can of their Lavender candle! No matter where I am, those products always makes me feel like I'm at home. I'm not too keen with their lavender blackberry line...it's too fruity for me and just defeats the purpose of having the best lavender scent around. I'm also an fan of their original Verbena! I'm not a big fan of their Lemon Verbena line - I guess I just like the original scents. (Why mess with it if it works?) I am very glad that they did return the Verbena Wipes! Yay! I was so disappointed when they discontinued that that I even wrote to beg that they bring it back. I guess enough people wrote to them cause now they are BACK! My faves: Lavender, Verbena, Honey, Orange, their Immortelle line (the eye cream really helps with the eye puffiness!), and the Shea Butter line. I love giving these to good friends! Not to mention, L'Occitane's chou-chou makes gift giving tres facile and tres chic! The hubby likes the Cade and Shea Butter lines, too! read more

I was first introduced to this company while living in Asia. L'Occitane carries products to lift your senses in the bathroom and bedroom. They have soaps, shampoos, body care, aromatherapy etc etc. Gorgeous luxuriously scented products packaged in beautiful tins or bottles are also perfect as gifts. I used to use their shampoos, but after becoming a mom, other priorities prevail and I can't afford to use these products on a daily basis. For sporadic pampering throughout the year though, this is an ideal store to get yourself some bath gel or scented body lotions. Located at Valley Fair Mall. read more

I absolutely love their product. It may be pricy but so worth every penny. I love their repair oil. I use it because I have split ends which helps it and it leaves my hair shiny and feeling soft. I also use their shea butter hand cream. I have dry hands and love how it feels on my skin leaving it soft. Kelly was the nice young lady that helped me. I love how they give away samples =) I will be back again that's for sure. read more

No samples. Sold discontinued item I wanted and I felt like I was at a used car dealer buying one more thing, one more. It was not pleasant or fun. Dirty. On top it the bag I bought fell apart by the time I got to my car and my cream fell out onto the asphalt :-( read more

I basically come here religiously to purchase the 'lavande' hand lotion. They have a cult following for a reason. This location is really nice and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. Bonus points for almost always getting free samples (more lotion yay!). It's also never crazy busy because I think most people who shop at l'occitane are already in the know and pop in and out rather quickly. read more

I don't really buy anything here but the hand cream... Really good stuff.. Works WONDERS and also smells great. Other than that I haven't tried anything else read more

I love the store and most things in it however I never buy anything unless it's on sale. Yes, I am a fan however the prices hold me back from shopping there on a regular basis. THEIR HAND CREAM IS OUTSTANDING! 5 Stars hand cream it beats C&E cream. Yes, I said it L'Occitane hand cream beats all others. The only reason they don't get 5 stars ..... Price it's not cheap however their 20% Shea is worth every penny. But wait for a sale or coupon. read more

L'Occitane is pricey but has good reason for it. Their products are extremely high quality and all of them smell absolutely amazing. One of their best sellers, the lavender hand cream, works wonders on rough skin. I use a bit every night and I can definitely feel the difference. Also, their products are beautifully packaged so it's great for gifts. read more

Kat, our customers service representative, was awesome. Answered all my wife's questions, and just so helpful.

I just wanted to give this place a quick thumbs up! I came in today with my boyfriend for some last minute Christmas gifts. They had beautiful selection and cute gift boxes. Chad helped us out in the front and was great. The customer service was beyond excellent. He wrapped up our gifts very nicely and even signed us up for their reward program so we could get a free gift. It was my first time coming in but I will definitely be back. There was another person I can't remember her name but she has short black hair, she was great. She helped me pick out gifts for my mom and my boyfriend's mom. She was very patient answered all my questions and helped me customize a cut box for my mom. Thank you so much for your great service! read more

4 stars for the product (which are a tad bit pricey for the size), but zero stars for the snotty sales clerks at Valley Fair!

I LOVE L'occitane products and they are the only brand I use on my skin. I would give their products 5 stars! This review is about this particular boutique and not the company's products. I usually know what I want and order everything online. But sometimes you need to go to the boutique when you're in a hurry. I've been to this one twice and both experiences have left much to be desired. 1. The sales people don't seem to be very helpful and knowledgeable - the boutique at Pleasanton had great folks who were providing samples and advising. 2. The store manager was actually impolite and showed no customer orientation - she was dismissive about an issue I brought up with an item purchased earlier, she behaved like I was just wasting their time. 3. They've made billing errors every time I've been there. The first time, I happened to check the bill as soon as they gave it to me. Second time, I was in a hurry, and discovered the error only later. Now I have to go back just to get it corrected - I just plan to return the item and do all my shopping online in future!! Or find another boutique...... read more

There's a reason why everyone is raving about the hand cream, it's the best stuff out there. I have really sensitive skin that can dry and chap easily just from washing my hands regularly throughout the day. The hand cream from L'Occitane is so great, it's a heavy duty moisturizer that doesn't leave me feeling greasy. I'm not going to lie their products are wildly expensive, $26 for my fave the cherry blossom hand cream, but really a little bit goes a long way so a tube will last you a few months. I used to have to reapply lotions much more often when using inexpensive drug store brands, so I think the splurge at L'Occitane is worth it. read more

Best hand and foot creams out there, bar none. Love it, gotta have it! So I do! Pricey for hand cream......$26 + tax means a tube of hand cream is nearly $30 but let me just say, it is worth every penny! Even my accountant fiancee is willing to pay for it to relieve his winter dry hands.....that's saying something! read more

L'Occitane. You make my wintery alligator hand skin smooth and supple....and empty my wallet of its cash while worming your sweet way into my winter-chilled heart. I'm obsessed with your shea butter hand creams and your lavendar and verbena scented soaps. I pass by your shopfront in the mall and have to resist the pull of your charms on my weak will. I can't decide if I love you or hate you. Maybe both. read more

Well, This update is only on the product not the store and its staff. I ended up being allergic to this product. My skin started getting red spots and was totally irritated. At first I couldn't figure out the cause, but it went away after I stopped using the products. So if you have a sensitive skin you might want to skip this product. But again everybody is different. I just hate the fact that I spent so much money on it :( read more

The advisor Myrrh was helping me, but suddenly started helping someone else and left me standing there without any assistance. The gift that I requested was not given to me and I was instead given something else. I had wanted the 5 item gift but I was given the 4 item gift. I didn't really like her service. She doesn't have very good service. She should finish helping me before helping another customer. read more

Love this place, especially the Olive Paste For Hair, the best conditioner I've ever found for my coarse, curly hair. I also like their lavendar hand cream and shea butter tinted lipbalms. The staff here is friendly and helpful and not pushy or hovering, and the store is always nice and neat. And they usually have free samples to take home and try. read more

I would give the product 5 stars (almond or lavender products) for how luxurious they are. Moisturize well and smell wonderful also. HOwever am rating the store 2 stars for the poor customer service. I have found that they chose and pick which customers get samples, and no, its not based on how much you spend in the store...but you have to ask for a sample and then they appear to be surprised, as if you asked for a favor! I'd rather purchase online when you are guaranted to get your samples (as you chose them yourself)...than contribute to them meeting their sales goals... read more

I saw an ad on Facebook for their 2016 advent calendar. It looked like it would be an awesome gift for a friend of mine so I ordered it. The advent calendar is amazing and I can't wait to give it to my friend but at checkout they offer free gift packaging. I said yes and when it arrived with the calendar I realized the gift box is too small. It's about 6"x6" and the calendar is about 14"x6". Other than that, happy with my purchase. I guess I'll just spring for a gift bag. read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE their stuff. I use everything. From body products to skincare products. It is expensive but its for your face so pay up! Their skincare is actually not that expensive compared to a lot of other french products. I really like their anti-aging line. I think its called Immortelle. All of my skincare is from the Immortelle line. I especially like the brightening items. It really keeps my skin from hyper pigmentation. Do not really care for their sun care items though. It has a very over whelming smell from the natural ingredients. They do give samples so thats nice. Most of the staff is trained quite well in their product knowledge. Answered most of my skincare problems. Overall, I cant get enough of Loccitane. I buy stuff everytime I'm in one of these stores. Poor me. read more

The manager always greets me as I have been a regular customer here and she knows me by name (and profession). The staff members tend to be very knowledgeable about the products and are helpful when trying to decide what to get for your particular skin type, etc. And they also share their personal experiences with the products they've tried and their preferences. They do also give you samples of the products to take home with you in small sachets, but if you want to try a particular type of sample (ie, if you wanted to go for some perfume samples instead of foot cream) you need to tell them. read more

You hardly ever see this review coming from a straight guy of which I am a card carrying member, but "L'occitane" has great stuff for guys of all affiliations.
