The lovely woman at Guidoreni got her fixed up with a pair of readers - offering several for testing - in less than five minutes, for a price of €25! There were several styles to choose from, so my friend left feeling much better that she'd be able to actually read over the next two weeks, and also that she'd found something with a bit of style! This is a chain with many locations throughout Florence, and I can't speak to the service overall. But this location, right by the duomo, was friendly, fast, and efficient... even spoke enough English to make up for our limited Italian! Highly recommended!

After what seemed like 10 minutes, she even apologized. Prices are about the same back home but there was a silly $25 Euro per lens fitting fee. At least she gave me another gorgeous shammy to clean my glasses; smart how it lists all of their locations, another great marketing piece.

If your shopping designer, then you should I already know your going to still have to spend a little bit of money in order to get the things that you like. I was in Florence and had to come to this little gem. It's a little hole and the wall, and let me just say, you can't go wrong with a hole in the wall shop...Am I right or Am I right. Anyways, once I walked in there were people looking around, I was greeted by a shop employee and was shown around. She and I had a conversation regarding America, how I liked being in Florence. She helped me with figuring out to get my Tax Refund for the items that were brought. Ok now time to get into the review. The first is most bigger designer brands, a LOT of FENDI AND CHANNEL purses, wallets and glasses. They did have little things like scarfs and I believe socks but these were more of local Italian designers. The place definitely packs a lot of stuff into it. I snakes around and the back area is more spacious and has more clothes, men and women... Did I see clothes for children....Honestly I wasn't looking. But varies clothes, shoes, wallets, glasses and purses from men and women. I walked out a much happier customer.

Always with a smile and with patience. She got a handbag and left happily to a restaurant around the corner recommended by the rep. The next morning she had doubts about the bag and we went back. Alberto didn't care that I wasn't the target customer, but he was very knowledgeable and took some time to educate me on some fragrances that were pretty interesting. He really couldn't have been more friendly, even after we said we weren't going to buy anything right away, we had a scheduled time to scale the bell tower and had to run. But his good nature was one reason we did return and make a purchase. :-) I like returning kindness with kindness. Kinda like when I return the favor for Yelp likes! Hehe. *wink, wink* Anyway, if you are into fragrances and flowery soap, I'd say visit this truly beautiful Aqua Flor store (The scent from the store permeates the air before you even walk in) and seek out my buddy Alberto. She was not only rude to me she was rude in general and had no remorse about it. She seemed to be too busy speaking to her coworker and not very helpful or interested to help us in learning more about Aqua Flor. I did mention this to her manager, who was lovely and helped us finish our purchase. I honestly would have purchased so much more if she would have even tried to help us, but she seemed to not really want to deal with anybody since she wouldn't help anybody whatsoever. Thankfully we were in there a few days earlier and knew exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, I will not walk into this boutique. I have lived in Florence for many years and I have never encountered such a rude person. Especially in a fine boutique perfumery... every year traveling to Europe I definitely bring home plenty of perfume. Unfortunately she made this experience unpleasant. It's too bad because it's a lovely boutique too lovely for a rude immature, unprofessional sales person like Francesca. You can't miss her - tall, dark haired young thin woman, speaks like an American she is incredibly quick to judge and be disrespectful. Do yourself a favor Aqua Flor find yourself a better sales person for your lovely boutique that deserves better! I would give one star only, but since the manager was so amazing and so kind, I didn't want to do that to him, but really she does kill the experience in this particular perfumery that is legendary in Firenze.
