Instead, he brought out giant beer steins filled with wine -- then tried to charge us €45 each. It felt like a deliberate trick, especially since we are American, and the staff seemed amused at our expense. When we attempted to send the drinks back, we were met with attitude and resistance. The whole situation felt like a scam, designed to embarrass tourists and overcharge them. Meanwhile, locals around us received normal, respectful service. The food itself was unremarkable, but the predatory and mocking service ruined the entire experience. Paris has far too many excellent places to eat -- do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

The food was so delicious and our server was from Italy and possibly the owner as well. Do note that there appears to be their old location down the street just a few steps away. We had gone there first thinking it was closed since the sign was still up outside but it was vacant. Keep walking a few steps and you will find a larger location.

O'Bottega was simple, quick, and oh so tasty! Terrific crust, great tasting ingredients, cooked perfectly. A great go to when craving pizza! FOOD: Had the pepperoni pizza. Went with one of the classics. This one was done so well. Not your typical pepperoni but a much higher quality than usual. And the cheese was just the right amount bit to overpower the pepperoni but enough to give you that hot cheesy goodness in each bite. Love how they cooked it with just a bit of char in their authentic stone oven to give it that perfect balance. The crust on the bottom is super thin but the edges were nice and fluffy for that awesome chew. SERVICE: Excellent all the way around. Quick, delicious, well packaged, and friendly helpful service. Spoke English really well and made this visitor feel welcome COST: About 20 euro per person and for the quality well worth it. Pizza is about 12" and would definitely come back
