However, upon arrival, the instructor informed me that the school does not perform finger waves due to it not being a state requirement, and instead referred to the service as a shampoo and mold. Despite confirming the appointment for finger waves, I acquiesced to the alternative service. Nevertheless, I was subsequently presented with a charge of $35, with the additional $15 being attributed to services beyond the initial $20 starting fee. observed the instructor providing guidance to the stylist on basic procedures, such as placing a cape on me. I felt that my time and expectations were not adequately respected, leading me to ultimately leave without receiving the service.

The receptionist didn't booked me for my appointment and told me that I was mean. I was not mean, I was asking her some questions which she refused to answer and took another call because she doesn't want to deal with me. You shouldn't be working in the front desk if you don't know how to answer simple questions. These kids need to be taught some manners.

The girls at the front desk weren't the nicest but its okay because the nail tech I got was sooo sweet! I would put her name on here but she graduated a week after she did my nails so theres no point. But she did a great job on my fill in and I felt comfortable with her (which is rare because usually I feel like I can't fully relax getting my nails done for some reason). Its important to note that this is a school so you HAVE to have patience!! If you are the type that would die having to sit two hours to get your nails done, this isnt the place for you. Also, the ventilation is horrible and all nails are done downstairs in a dungeon lmaoo. I saw a girl get a pedicure done & they used a big bowl to soak her feet & had her sitting in one of those fold out chairs. I almost got a pedicure and was like nope because I want to be comfortable and able to relax!! Overall I would rate this place a 8/10 and I want to try getting my hair done here next so ill update this review if I do!

Often I see The teachers sitting most of the day and talking to each other and/or their "favorite students" and getting services done instead of helping the others and they visibly look and act annoyed when you interrupt their conversation to ask them a question or for help. One of my biggest problems with the school is that it is so overcrowded in the main area. They accepted WAY too many students and now we all don't have room to even walk without trying to not bump into someone's tool kit or mannequin. Most days if you arrive on time you have to get a table that's pushed up to the wall and has no power plug in sight. Then you get handed a client and are expected to just find a station and be 100% prepared right off the bat. They also don't accommodate people with allergens because whenever we have something that takes up our lunch, like a presentation or a zoom call, they order pizza and that's it. I know two people that have gluten allergens who've asked what to do for lunch since they can't leave and there isn't food that's edible to them and the response they've gotten was "DoorDash or don't eat" which is crazy. When we take lunch breaks we have to eat in our cars since they took the tables that were in the lunch room and put them in the main room because of the crowding problem. When you bring up the issues to the staff they reply with "this is what working in a salon/ hair industry is like" but I don't think any salon has Disney music playing all day and your leaders don't want to help you. I've had instances with teachers where I forgot something once and they dig into me about my unprofessionalism to the point where I've left in tears because of the harsh words they said and I know others who have had the same experience. If you want to go to a school where you basically teach yourself everything and get little to no help I recommend Paul Mitchell.

PS I edited his face because I don't want him to get in trouble after signing paperwork, nor will I expose his identity for legal purposes. This is insanely unacceptable, if the person cutting your hair tells you they're nervous about cutting your hair don't let them Listen to them and trust your intuition because this is insane Students are teaching other students and teachers are messing up people's hair and nobody can complain about it because they all signed papers prior One thing to note is that the staff was very friendly and nice but some of them should not be holding shears...

It's a school so just expect it not to be the same as a regular salon, but I actually really enjoyed my most recent color and cut. The problem I have with this place is that the teachers were very demeaning and rude to my stylist right in front of me. It was incredibly uncomfortable. They were berating her for not know what color would look good on my hair or for the fact that she didn't have a plan. Me and her hadn't discussed anything and she hadn't seen my hair before so how would she know? Also, it's a school, the teachers should be helping and quiding these students, not making them feel stupid for asking questions. Every question my stylist asked was met with a rude remark. It was so uncomfortable, I will not be coming back. This is unfortunate because I know these students need people willing to come in and trust them to work on their hair, and I was willing to do that. These students are spending a ton of money to go here and be taught. If you are looking to attend a cosmetology school, choose a different one. No paying students should have to be treated this way.
