Good service although no menu in english and the chef was the only one that spoke english but not enough to answer my question. No biggie though, i am in the heart of Quebec! :) i chose wings to start and the contre-filet (sirloin) with baked potato and salad. Main course was excellent but my appetizer i would skip next time, the main was big enough! Great place to watch sports, tvs and projectors everywhere! Nice decor.

Extremely crowded on a weeknight, we waited 35 minutes for a table. And it was the worst table in the place - right next to the door to the patio so that every time it opened, we got a good sniff of cigarette smoke. My Imperial Stout arrived with a small cube of chocolate. It was an interesting combination. I was still enjoying it when the nachos arrived. Um, I don't know why I chose nachos - it's not exactly a Canadian staple. I ordered a second beer and had the pizza with pulled pork and mushrooms. The beer and the pizza were quite good.

We took advantage of that and ate outside near the street and the water. Although our waitress was bilingual, she was a bit uncomfortable with us. She did relate better to the much younger couple who spoke English near us. We both ordered an IPA and began to decipher the French menu. Note that the food here is pub food, not a full lunch. My wife ordered the smoked mussels and French bread, and I ordered the smoked herring and French bread. Both came fairly rapidly. The French bread was warm and the mussels and herring were served in a Quebec style marinade infused with spices. We both thought they were excellent. The bread was also excellent. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

Good thing as I had come here with a work colleague that mentioned it was one of the best places to break bread in Saint Felecien. Arriving to the restaurant I had a little chuckle as there were two snowmobiles parked right in front. Only in northern rural areas can you actually drive your snowmobile to and from dinner. This area in the winter is a delight for snow machine lovers. As there are trails all over the place and it's pretty freaking cold all winter! Okay fast forward to the menu. There is a rather plentiful selection of items, pasta, pizza, burgers, steak, seafood and your regular pub type food. However the prices. I found were rather expensive. Seafood dishes were in the $40+ range (I'm sure it was frozen seafood). Steaks were in the mid $30+ range. I opted for a half rack of ribs with fries ($26). The ribs were done very tenderly with a BBQ sauce. They were fall off the bone delicious and only took a fork and very light pressure to push the meat off the bone. Fries were average and it came with a nice creamy slightly sweet coleslaw. Overall it was a decent meal that was what we were looking for. I had a club soda with lime to wash it down. They charged me $3.55 for the club soda which is a bit steep. Service was a bit slow and not the most attentive. Overall it was an okay dining experience although somewhat expensive for what you get!
