I drove a bit further down rt 33 to C&L and recognized that I had been there a long time ago and went in to ask for pedicure price. They did have availability and the price was more of what I expected. I had a wonderful non rushed pedicure and expect to go back there for my next.

Fine I agreed to the $10 she proposed while I was in the chair. When I went to go pay, I handed the woman a $10 bill.... and she looked at me and said 20. I'm sorry, fixing two toenails on a gel pedicure that I received last week should not be $20 additional. The woman and I went back back-and-forth for a few minutes and I told her that I was not paying $20 for a fix two toenails on a gel pedicure that did not last..... previously the guy would do it for free so for me $10 was even a stretch. Overall, super disappointed and felt slimy that they were requesting so much money for a fix. pedicures are also ~30 minutes there which is crazy so I think that they just wanna turn over people and get as many customers as possible without taking the time and quality. I always schedule an appointment with them and I am always left waiting. Last week I made an appt at 5 and did not sit in a chair until 530... for me this is always the case. Safe to say this is the final straw I will be looking for another nail salon locally ...

My biggest pet peeve at a nail salon is cutting me because they are too busy talking and not paying attention, but I've been going there for at least a year. They also do my eyebrows.

***I went for eyebrow waxing and not manicure/nail services***…read more It was okay for $12. The set up is weird: the table that you lay on is in the corner so the person waxing your brows has to stand on one side and can't really see them side by side. The woman who did my brows was diligent and took a lot of time cleaning them up (not good for those who are in a rush but I was in no hurry). I had asked her to shape my brows so that they were even since one of them is thicker than the other, but since she was standing on one side I don't think she noticed that she had left quite a few hairs on one side. When I pointed it out she immediately fixed it. She put a very soothing balm (not lotion) on my brows after and said it was to help with the redness and prevent any sunburn. I am a woman of color so I don't usually get sunburned, but I appreciated her concern lol Side note: because the table was in a corner she had to lean over me and lightly rest her hands/forearm on my upper body. It didn't really bother me but be warned that they'll be really close to you. I wouldn't be opposed to going here again if I was in a bind. It has a very relaxed feel to it and isn't that posh like other salons in the area. I probably wouldn't get my nails done here though, I prefer them to be done in a posh salon ‍

This has been extremely painful and required a double dose of antibiotics as the doctor was extremely concerned it could develop into sepsis, which can be life threatening. I will lose my nail in due course and may have damaged the nail bed. Even worse even though the owner and the son admitted responsibility and apologised, she told me it has happened a few times before. I would hate anyone else to experience this. I asked them to reassure me other customers would not be at risk and this has not happened.
