To kick off our maximum relaxation day, my friends and I got lunch here and then got a massage before checking out the amenities of the spa. The basic Swedish massage was great! I enjoyed all of the heated pools, infinity pool, relaxation rooms with a fireplace, and cold plunges. There were so many cold plunges all around. I enjoyed the hammocks, various types of swings, infrared lounge chairs. It was nice seeing so many people relaxing there reading their paper books. We were bummed the lazy river was closed while we were there, but will definitely check out Strom Spa again next time we're around!

We'd been walking all day, soaking up the incredible sights of Quebec City on foot and I was a little harried and exhausted when we arrived, but felt like completely different woman when I left. I can't say enough good things about my massage therapist David. He was extremely conscientious in asking about my needs and any health issues, and the massage itself (I had the deep tissue) was extraordinary. He worked out all of my tensions, every knot, yet was gentle as well as intense and effective. I am definitely coming back to QC and when I do, I'll be making an appointment with David!

This wasn't a problem for me as they seemed to try to make the room as comfortable and as much like a spa treatment room as possible. I had the 80 minute Signature Payot massage with Francine (I believe that was her name - I hope I got it right) and she was truly wonderful. First we sat down and she explained the products she was going to use on me. They all smelled wonderful and felt luxurious. She had me pick out the aromatherapy oils I wanted and explained what the treatment would entail. After she made sure I was comfortable, she got to work. I generally don't like when I am massaged with forearms but Francine's pressure was perfect and she managed to address the tight areas. The technique she used was very French - think Venus Beauty Institute with Natalie Baye. The effleurage was executed by assured, experienced hands of someone who really knows what she's doing. Then came the face massage. I didn't realize this was part of the treatment until Francine explained it to me at the beginning. At first I hesitated because I don't like unfamiliar products applied to my face and I generally stay clear of facials. But Francine had a very calming demeanor and she seemed to know the products very well so I decided to go with the flow. I'm glad I did because at one point I fell asleep! The products felt so good, I left even the hair elixir in for the rest of the day, making me look like I hadn't washed my hair in a week, but the smell was so good and it made my hair very soft! Note to Payot: please package your products in smaller sizes so travelers like me can buy your wonderful stuff and still fly home with them in our carry on.

We couldn't book any of the treatments or massages bcuz they were fully booked for the day, and we had decided to drop in last minute (taking advantage of their Black Friday Sale.) Coming from Toronto, ON I'd say we've been pretty spoiled with the Scandinave Spa up in Blue Mountain, which has always been our go-to... no other spa has quite measured up... including the Sky Spa. It was a lot smaller than we expected, but then again it is located on the top of one of Quebec's tallest skyscrapers. We were hoping to grab lunch there... and a couple of those cute cappuccinos with the heart designs, but apparently the "food truck" never came that day. So, we ventured to the Bulle bistro d'altitude fine dining experience next door! We're glad we did, as the Sky Spa didn't offer any refreshments, except for some tap water garnished with sliced lemons. It was our first time there and got a little lost inside. We couldn't find our way around and there was literally no one to escort us out to the patio, so we spent a lot of time wandering around. This is when we discovered the eucalyptus steam room (my favorite!) And the hot sauna room (Kristen's preference.) I think I saw a bar inside but it wasn't open. We arrived around 3p.m. on a weekday, so I'm not sure why the food and beverages had been shut down entirely, or why there was no one to answer any of our Qs. It would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine... or something. We took a lot of selfies on the hot tub patio, as there was no supervision to tell us otherwise, or to ask people to be quiet. It was more of a laid back, chilled vibe. Let's connect! From the moment you get into the change rooms, you feel like you're in a nice, relaxing place. The showers were like the ones you'd find in a boutique hotel. There large outdoor hot pools area overlooks the St. Laurence river, which is stunning. They've set up a fire with blankets as well. Several "quiet area" signs abound, but they're written in French. Some of the guests are a bit chatty, including my friends and me. While I recognize that it may be off-putting to people who want some kind of serene bathing experience, well, it's a social outing. Nobody was completely "wild". The two indoor areas contain a eucalyptus steam room or a dry sauna. Both of the areas have a "quiet room" on top, and one of the quiet rooms has tea. I did find the furniture to be quite noisy and creaky, which made for a bit of a comedy show whenever anyone would move about. Also, I'm not sure I'd want to lay down on any of the "couples beds". Bring your towel with you. The spa is great after a hard day of skiing or riding. I had such a good, relaxing time there that I made my friends go again the next time I was in Beaupre! This is sure to become a staple of my trips to mont-sainte-Anne.

No problems with using it upon arrival. We started with a 60 minute massage that was so calming and relaxing. We had lunch at the cafe - a duck & Brie sandwich, soup, and maple coffee (with alcohol). Delicious! We spent the rest of the day in the steam bath, hot tubs, sauna, resting pods, and drinking herbal tea. Truly a relaxing day. There are cold plunge options but we opted out of those! The only con is the changing rooms / lockers are a bit tight space wise, especially in the winter months with big jackets + layers. When visiting remember to bring your bathing suit and slides/flip-flops. Slides are available for purchase if you do forget. Towels and robes are provided. It was lightly snowing on the day we visited making it a magical experience and felt like being in a hallmark movie! Would love to come back and recommend to anyone visiting QC.

First, I made a stop at the cute café - wow, the food was amazing! My favorite was the curry duck sandwich, and the charcuterie board. I can't believe the restaurant at a spa can be of this amazing quality The spa itself was very well equipped and clean too. The changing room only has three stalls, a bit small. I enjoyed all the pools and saunas, and it even has an access to the river behind. Very cool place!! Every staff and service was friendly and there were multiple water fountains at the facility so just bring your water bottle because you'll definitely want to stay hydrated.

After your service, you have free rein of the grounds. We loved the warm lazy river, the thermal pool with a view of the river, the sauna, cold plunge, and various relaxation rooms. You can spend as much time as you want after your service. They have a restaurant and boutique shop as well. Visiting in winter was so fun. Une semaine plus tard, deux ongles dénudés. Coût trop élevé. Allez ailleurs pour une manucure.
