My daughter and I were super excited to visit the Sky Spa in Quebec! The neon lights were really…read morepretty and the view was spectacular! We couldn't book any of the treatments or massages bcuz they were fully booked for the day, and we had decided to drop in last minute (taking advantage of their Black Friday Sale.) Coming from Toronto, ON I'd say we've been pretty spoiled with the Scandinave Spa up in Blue Mountain, which has always been our go-to... no other spa has quite measured up... including the Sky Spa. It was a lot smaller than we expected, but then again it is located on the top of one of Quebec's tallest skyscrapers. We were hoping to grab lunch there... and a couple of those cute cappuccinos with the heart designs, but apparently the "food truck" never came that day. So, we ventured to the Bulle bistro d'altitude fine dining experience next door! We're glad we did, as the Sky Spa didn't offer any refreshments, except for some tap water garnished with sliced lemons. It was our first time there and got a little lost inside. We couldn't find our way around and there was literally no one to escort us out to the patio, so we spent a lot of time wandering around. This is when we discovered the eucalyptus steam room (my favorite!) And the hot sauna room (Kristen's preference.) I think I saw a bar inside but it wasn't open. We arrived around 3p.m. on a weekday, so I'm not sure why the food and beverages had been shut down entirely, or why there was no one to answer any of our Qs. It would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine... or something. We took a lot of selfies on the hot tub patio, as there was no supervision to tell us otherwise, or to ask people to be quiet. It was more of a laid back, chilled vibe. Let's connect! You can find our photos on my Instagram @glitznglam.glampress I'd definitely go back again to try one of the marvelous Spa treatments they offer, but I wouldn't pay full price unless I knew for sure the lounge area would be open. That was kind of disappointing. Next time we visit, I'll be sure to write a full review on my blog at www.shescrafty.blog Hope to see you there! :)

They have a restaurant where you can eat. You can pay extra to get massages and treatments. We only did the thermal experience, the basic one. They have dry and steam saunas, cold plunges, and hot baths. The infinity pool has a pretty view of the St. Lawrence River. The changing room area was very clean, and they have everything you need. They have hair dryers, flat irons, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. They also have a water fountain to refill water and hot tea to drink. I love the lazy river and wish it was longer. I love the sauna with the eucalyptus scent. The only thing is the staff didn't give us guidance or more information about the place since it was our first time here. We just had to walk around and figure it out.

I did a cold plunge before in Illinois, where you had to alternate between a sauna and then a cold plunge. This one has multiple pools with different temperatures. One of the warmer ones was like a mini lazy river. There's an infinity pool with a nice view. They also had a couple steam rooms and a sauna. For the steam rooms, take one of the bowls and fill with ice before entering. Use the ice to hydrate your body while in there. For the cold plunges, there are directions of how long you should stay in there after being somewhere hot. We went on a Saturday morning after 10:30 am and left close to 2 pm. You're free to stay as long as you like. Each person gets a robe and a towel. I brought my own sandals. You get a key bracelet for your locker. They have plenty of shower stalls, hair dryers, and products to help you get yourself ready before leaving. Service was friendly. This would have been 5 stars except that there was an old woman that walked into the men's locker room. She was speaking in French and kept walking around in there. She had a robe on and sandals, so I know she did not get lost going to the women's. I notified the front desk and they sent people to investigate. I wish there was a way to scan yourself into the locker room, so that the opposite gender doesn't "accidentally" walk around.

In the hospital most of the people didn't speak much English, but I still could understand a lot of what they said. My wife could understand better, she is a nurse and is not hard of hearing. I had Type A Flu and pneumonia. I could not even cross my legs I was so weak the first day or so. The put me in an isolation room. The nurses were so great. Even though they were busy they took time to tell me everything they were going to do from medication to Blood Pressure Check. I had great Doctors also. Dr. Dugal was outstanding and spent a lot of time explaining things to me. The last two days before I left the hospital she spent at least 15 or 20 minutes telling my wife all about what was happening and what they needed my blood count had to be before they would release me. Then she wrote out a detailed account of my diagnosis and treatment so I could present it to Kaiser Permanente for reimbursement. The next day my blood count was up and when my wife came to the hospital that morning they said we could leave whenever we wanted to. Since we had paid estimated charges already, that was all they needed. It took 5 minutes at most. Again beautiful nurses and awesome doctors. I would recommend the Canadian Health services to anybody.
