I didn't try the cookies or the pastries but they looked delicious specially the pies ( called tartes ) here What brought the rating down : the place deserves a better clean up between guests , and there are some flies ( I hate this anywhere) ; the restrooms didn't have soap; when asked , the young lady fumbled with some liquid soap containers and admitted that they had the wrong ones so no soap for the day !! They had a pretty wide selection of pastries: almond croissants, millefeuille, Paris-Brest, tarte aux pommes, pain aux raisins, tartes, and chocolate pastries. Pretty much most of what you can think of for French pastries. The prices are fairly reasonable for a bakery, and definitely cheaper than going to Paul or any other place right in the train station. Their main business is chocolate, but this is an awesome exception. The staff is very friendly and even helped me with packing macarons in tupperware containers for safer transport on my trip back home (which they came back in little to no damage) What makes a macaron delicious is the combination of the bite - the cookie and the filling, both of which Au Palais excels at. All of their flavors were delicious and the colors were beautiful. I really hope that when I return to Antibes for a visit, Au Palais is still there because I cannot wait to get my hands on a large Nutella maracon!
