The restaurant is right on a busy corner so there were a lot of people watching available. I was greeted quicker than I had anticipated, I had requested a soda. I had a hard time deciding what to order since the restaurant offers a large selection of Italian food. I finally decided on the Spaghetti Carbonara. I will say, the pizza did look amazing (took a peek from a nearby table). It was great relaxing at the table watching the world go by. When the meal was delivered, I was not disappointed. The dish was well seasoned, the pasta was fresh, just a great meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the great service, meal and the view. Enjoy

The owner is friendly and speaks multiple languages. He also has recommendations if you're stuck. The concept here is: you choose your size, which ranges from kid's to small, to medium to large. Then, you choose your type of pasta- there are 2 that are free (fusili and penne), and other styles that are a bit of an upcharge depending on the type. You then choose your sauce(s) and toppings; emmental cheese is free and worth it! They also have an option if you want your pasta spicy or piquant, and I enjoy this little added bonus. They cook their pasta to perfection- a little past al dente but the texture is *chef's kiss* and the sauces have never led me astray. I recommend the archiduc and bolognese sauce with some spice and of course, with emmental!

I have seen two locations of Cup Pasta and both look approximately the same. The pasta is good for "I don't know what to eat but my break's too short and I want something consistent that will have me feeling: yeah, I ate good "-occasions. Although I have to say, sometimes I feel like the sauces can be a bit watery, but that's a personal preference. I like my sauces a bit thick. It's borderline affordable, you can get a big cup for 8 euros and the big cup will feed a big eater well. Just be careful because when served; the cups are HOT! Anyway, I recommend giving it a try.

I arrived for dinner around 8 pm on the night of a bank holiday in Belgium. Many places were shuttered in the city and the idea of pushing my way through a crowded bar scene in hopes of finding food wasn't too tantalizing. As such, I ended up here. It was right down the street from my hotel so I had passed it a few times. It looked like a classy modern yet casual spot. And it is. But I'm not so sure it's good for solo travelers. I walked in and was given a table away from the drafty entrance, which I appreciated, but I then waited quite a while just for a menu. A couple seated long after me had menus in hand first. I ordered a Chimay (when in Belgium) and the strozzapreti con crema di melanzane. It arrived with a salty ricotta side. Apparently some diners don't like the ricotta. I can say I thought it made the dish so much better and would've been totally bland without it. I was feeling awkward as I sat and noticed other parties getting exceptional treatment. Other people were treated to a listing of the evening's specials. I only overheard them. I will say the owner (manager?) was very sweet. He was the one who ended up bringing my check (after I asked twice) and he was all smiles. I think it's better to come with a group here (a guy on his own sat down, waited a bit, then hauled out without ordering) and to order something with fish. Also their desserts looked pretty good.

This might be a great place to stop and have a coffee, but I would steer clear of ordering any main dishes unless you like that authentic microwave taste.
