I hope my review doesnt get too effusive, but is just may. If you are holidaying in Languedoc, hopefully you will ensure that at a minimum, one time you eat at LAppaloosa. Our lunchtime meals were sensationally good, both for the hospitality & food but also for the great companionship & conversation from adjoining tables, all combined to turn a normal lunchtime into a 3.5 hour dinner party!!!!!
1st the great food, Asian influenced French food stems from Hosts Rachel Malaysian background & Jean-Marc extensive esperience of working all across SE Asia & the Indian sub continent.
Appetizers were baked Mussels in Cheese & Pork Spring rolls & both were great.my wifes main course was Duck Breast served with huge French Fried Potatoes, Simple but so good, The duck was served EXACTLY as my wife wanted.I head A Coquilles St Jacques Asian Twist with Potatoes & we both finished with the Floating island dessert. The Wine menu is good & we even started an impromptu wine tasting after meeting the owner of Chateau Cabezac, The Red Carinu is superb!!! We will return, this is a not to be missed restaurant. read more
