Lyon on Aug 16 is not really the place to be, it is immediately following the national holiday, signaling the end of life as you may have known it. The country goes on vacation, but not the affable owner of My Soiree, the brick and mortar restaurant of the successful catering company. Dinner started with the deep wine list with great recommendations about wines, prepared biologique, to the daily specials. We began with a cheese board suitable for 7 (we were 3) to the salad lyonnais, a must when in this region. Who can resist a poached egg, lucky for me the lardon arrived on the side, my partners were thrilled. We continued with more wine then wonderful entrees including scallop st,jaques (more bacon) and fresh greens to veal prepared with a ravioli gratinee and haricovert. This was a real welcome meal in Lyon, we are glad we stumbled upon this establishment and it was open!, this 20 day old restaurant hopefully lives to a ripe old age, read more
