In part because this place is so good and so busy, and at least on the day we went, there was only one waitress. Despite the language barrier, she was very kind about offering what help she could (showing us various entrees and plates as they came from the kitchen). We got the prix fix menu items (the menu on the chalkboard) which included a Nordic plate (cold fish, seasoned very well, and cold potatoes), followed by pork filet mignon, which was hot, cooked to perfection and flavorful. We ordered a pea soup off the menu (a la carte) which was a large portion, hot, served with a small pot of sour cream. Everyone in our party raved about the creme brûlée which had a nice sugar crust and an awesome texture. My dad, who is a world traveler declared it the best he's had. Remember, lunch is a big meal for the French, it is paced more like a dinner in the US, so if you are looking for a quick lunch go to a deli or coffee shop. Also, when we were there (Dec) the restaurant closed at 1500 and was only available for lunch. Check the times and dates of closure when you're planning your meals.

Their Caesar Salad with salmon was a dissappointment primarily in terms of preparation. The romaine lettuce was chopped into small pieces and had perhaps a few drops of dressing. The few croutons present should have called for reenforcements. On top was thinly sliced salmon with some agonizingly tough parts that better knife work might have readily dispatched. I'll spare you the details of the equally dissappointing menu choices of the other diners at the table. Overall, the atmosphere is nice, the service staff is attentive, the ingredients are of good quality. If the management can just inspire the cooks this could come together. Right now it's a pass.
