People have the right to protect their property from further damage, especially from a company who made it very clear that they do not care and would not make good on damage they knowingly caused. The only "chronic police calls" on this street have been related to your vehicles blocking access to our property, blocking the street and impeding traffic on weekends, and your employees menacing us and trespassing on our property. We have owned this property since the early 70s and have only had issues with your company which apparently thinks it has the right to trample peoples private property. There were many other occasions where we could have and should have called the police. But did not because you're employees are so disgusting we feared retaliation through additional damage to our property. Learn to show respect for people neighboring your projects. Learn to be honest and communicate. Maybe if you did any due diligence and spent anytime at your project sites you would be aware of how your employees act when you're not present.

Okay, the tilers showed up yesterday. They replaced two tiles (My husband had wanted to return the…read moreexcess tiles after the initial installation. I think he's glad he listened to me now.) and did the grouting. The grout that met the counter top to the wall also had started to crumble so they put clear silicone along the seam. I don't understand why that wasn't done when they first did the job. I don't know how a chunk of silicone got on my refrigerator, but I noticed it today and removed it. I thought that was a bit careless, hence three stars instead of four. The tilers need to be more careful. My husband will probably think that's petty of me, but it shouldn't have been there! I will continue to update my review. If I don't have any additional issues, I'll update again and up the stars.

Needless to say, there were plans, revised plans, and a lot of communication with us and the town, AND the insurance adjusters (we had 4 before the repair was completed). Marcello was steady throughout. We must have gone through at least 4-5 revisions and alternative ideas to find one the insurance company would agree to (my house is a balloon structure, meaning there are no supports in the middle of the house. This required posts to support the new hip rafter, and supports for the post on every floor, so Marcello was creative). He and his crew made sure the repair was sound, safe, and when he had to put a beam through my living room to support my house, he made sure it looked absolutely beautiful (and added another to balance it), AND as though it had been part of the house since the 1800's. 4 years ago my wife and I bought the fixer-upper of fixer-uppers. So much needed to be redone that…read morewe decided to gut the whole place, room by room... while living there... with two kids. So that's been fun. Fast forward to this past fall, where we finally decided to tackle the (frankly, horrifying) first floor; kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room and adding a desperately needed powder room. Given that our second floor and attic had already been redone, you could say I've been around the ol' contractor block. We've had some good and some bad, but no one I trusted to do the entire job. As my wife and I were figuring out what we wanted, and could realistically afford to do, my neighbor invited us over to see her newly renovated basement. This was previously a raw space that was now pristine. It looked like new construction in a 100+ year old house. And our neighbor had only the best things to say about her contractor, Joe. We eventually setup a meeting with Joe and he really goes the extra mile from the jump. He and his wife Karin are wonderful, down to earth people who didn't seem bothered by the toddler chaos going on all around us while we spoke. They even took us around to see past jobs of similar scope. Endlessly helpful. When we decided to move forward, cost was obviously a factor. Joe was honest, transparent, and willing to work with us to stay within our budget. Once the job started, it went as smoothly as one could hope. Joe's crew are a great bunch of guys. I won't lie and say that not having a kitchen for 10 weeks with 2 young kids is fun stuff, but they made it as painless as possible. The workspace was always clean and we had a path to our fridge. And they took the time to do things right -- leveling out ceiling beams that could have passed as a template for a skateboard before putting up sheetrock. Joe called regularly with status updates, and to hash out any unclear requirements. He'a got a great eye for design -- making a number of suggestions we were thrilled with -- from room layouts, down to details like a barn door for our laundry room. He suggested cabinets that I had reservations about at first, but ended up loving. He and Karin even came with us to pick out countertops and appliances. Above and beyond. To wrap it up, finding a good contractor is hard and we found a GREAT one, so I was almost hesitate to write this. I don't want y'all booking him up until 2022! I've got a couple more jobs to do!

Abe from Lifta came out and gave an honest assessment of my garage floor fix and proposed many options and color schemes to fit my requirements. He promptly gave me a quote the next day scheduled start date on the same week. The Lifta Epoxy Flooring team arrived on time and with proper face coverings and started work on the floor. They properly prepare the floor which requires a complete sanding of the surface and repairing cracks before you can start applying layers. While his team worked he displayed real examples of all the endless textures and colors that can be applied. I took the silver base with gray swirls and metallic sparkles. The job took a total of three days (part-time) as each layer of coating (Adhesion, base, swirl, clear coat layer) needs ample time to dry and cure. In the end, the epoxy flooring looks amazing and I'm so happy with this work knowing it's also going to be a great investment into the value of my property.
