I came in, great service but my nails lifted in 5 days came in to have them fix it and they GLUED them down instead of redoing them(which relifted after 1 day) since I paid 90 dollars for the service. I can understand polish lifting but not acrylic , I've gotten my nails done for over 15 years now never had this experience. I came in the next day after she glued my nails down to try and remove them because there was no point to have them on now my nails pretty much where tore off with the acrylic at the top. read more

I went in just to get my gel polish removed and my nails reshaped and cut. I thought this would be a simple and easy task. However, the employee who helped me seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. Instead of using any sort of tool to remove my gel polish, this man used his own fingernail to scrape it off. Eventually he began to use the tool, but this unsanitary display had me horrified. He also failed to file my nails, and instead filed my skin when attempting to shape my nails. I left feeling thoroughly uncomfortable and upset. I would not recommend this salon at all after this experience. read more

I am very disappointed. I walked in with my friend. She received a color palate and was offered wine when we were seated for our pedicures. I was seated, soaking my feet in cold water, and was not offered wine at all. I was going to ask for warmer water, but the woman put her hand in the water and decided to continue the pedicure. She was very nice, just inconsiderate. This is the closet nail place near me, but I rather travel than come back. Im happy my friend enjoyed her pedicure though. read more

4 Louisiana women, including myself, were having a get away weekend here in Pensacola and decided to go get mani/pedi's so we just picked the closest one to us, which happened to be LA Nails. Don't waste your time or money. Rude technician that only want the client in and out the door as soon as possible. I have been cut to the point of bleeding during my three of my gel manicures and when asked them to be gentle I was told they would not do my nails. Worst place in town. read more

LA Nail's is okay. I think they do a little better job than those places in the mall. Plus you don't have people looking through the door when your getting your stuff done. You don't have to make an appointment, really does not matter if you have one or not, they fit you in when there is a girl available. read more

The absolute worst service I have EVER received at any nail salon or anywhere! The lady rushed through my toes. Most of my toe nails were half painted with polish all over my skin and when I very kindly pointed out a couple places and asked if she minded touching up she didn't fix anything then "allowed" me to paint them myself & I'm 9 months pregnant! I have never wanted to NOT tip someone so badly in my life! I then expressed to her that I'm not one to complain but I felt like she was rushed and it showed because my toes looked terrible and her allowing me to attempt to fix my toes when I paid for a service was extremely unprofessional. I'm giving LA Nails 4/5 stars mainly because the atmosphere was not very welcoming. I felt more welcomed by the nice lady waiting for her appointment! The service by Mai who did my eyebrows was great! It was a 30 minute wait so I went to grab something to eat and came back. Upon returning I was directed to go the room in the back and was told it would be another 5 minutes. Mai came and checked in me and apologized for the wait. I am very happy with the work she did so it was worth the wait. I will be going back for a mani/pedi! read more

I am never going back to that nail salon ever again. I was greeted kindly by a woman but once I was seated with a man he just was rude. I asked for a full set and as he was working on my nails he constantly told me how bad my cuticles were and how I needed them trimmed. Ok, I've had people tell me I needed to take care of my cuticles better but never that blatant and hurtful. Then as he stated he was going to clean my cuticles up, he failed to state that he was going to OVER CHARGE me. It wasnt even on the sign that it would cost extra for a cuticle cut- every place ive been to does it for free. Whenever I was trying to talk when he asked me questions he would say "ya ya ok" and cut me off. Then as he was about paint my nail polish on my acrylic set, he asked for the money upfront. Excuse me, but most places wait till after they service you to ask for your money. But apparently he thought I would dash shortly afterwards. NO other people in the store had to pay upfront. He charged me $25 when it shouldve been $20. I outwardly complained and he tried shushing me up by saying he would take whatever I had, so I gave him $23. still overpriced for such lowsy service. He didnt get a tip. Because he was rude as hell. I dont tip for service, I tip for how well you treat me. I live right up the road and didnt want to go far(despite me readin the reviews on this site I decided to save gas and go here). I hate this place and would never go back. read more

I will not go anywhere else to get my nails done! Even after trying all of the more "upscale" nail salons downtown this place is my favorite! They take pride in their work and are super friendly. I get the gel polish manicure and it ALWAYS lasts for at least several weeks (until my nails start growing out). Holly is the BEST and even if I haven't been in months she always remembers our conversations from the previous visit. I would recommend this place a million times over! read more

My friend and I went here around a week ago and probably had the one of the most unenjoyable experiences. When we first got there we weren't greeted in really a good or bad manner, however when we went to pick out a nail color, none of the colors were organized and the choices were pretty limited compared to past experiences. We both wanted a full set of acrylics (I needed to get my acrylics taken off that I had on at the time before the new set). My friend had naked nails and asked for a coffin shape for her acrylics. The man who was doing her nails (seemed like an owner), told us the shaping would cost $5 extra....after he had already cut them into the shape she asked for. The woman (seemed like the other owner) taking off my acrylics came off very angry at the time and was almost tearing my whole nail off. And I'm not sensitive to this process because I've had acrylics for over 2 years and I know getting them off doesn't feel good but she was very forceful with it. She continued to file my nails and filed my pinky nail down till it bled. I then decided against getting nails put back on after this. The result of my friends nails wasn't the best. They didn't shave her nails down, leaving lumps and creases under the paint. read more

This is my go to place for mani- pedis. I'm a diabetic and have a hard time taking care of my feet. The staff are gentle but thorough with my feet. The polish lasts for weeks too. As for my nails, I like gel nails. Again they are gentle and pay attention to details. They even help me pick out my color. :-) I'm always greeted by a friendly voice. The atmosphere is relaxed. Came in for a mere polish change. You would think something so simple would be hard to mess up. Wrong. First off she only filed the top of my nails which was awkward because they are round, so the shape was super weird. I asked her to shape them up a little more and she goes "more round?" I said yes and pointed out two that were particularly misshapen. She fixes them. Fine. Then I pay before my polish ($5 polish change, I gave her nearly a 50% tip which was my mistake to give to her before she was finished. The polish comes out SUPER messy. Like I could have done a better job with my left hand. She starts cleaning my skin where the polish was but not really in any of the areas that were the messiest. I said "can you please clean up the edges a little more?" She lets out a sigh and goes "ugh oh my gosh." Like WHAT! She then just cleans on my skin where there was no polish...so I point out the polish. She reluctantly semi fixes one finger and then tells me to go dry. Like I'm sorry your wall had the words "Professional Nail Care" on them..do your job PROFESSIONALLY the first time and I won't have to ask for you to fix your mistakes! L.A. Nails in the Target shopping center on Nine Mile Road is HORRIBLE! DO NOT go there! I stopped in for a full set of acrylics. The guy sped through them to get back to his computer game. They are uneven and two are completely crooked! He didn't ask me how long I wanted them before he started cutting. And to top it off they are all lifting really bad and it's not even been one week. Their product is all in generic bottles. When I spoke with a beauty school instructor about my experience she explained they most likely buy their product in bulk from overseas. The overseas product is usually outdated and no professional nail tech worth their salt would touch it with a 20 foot pole. So, be warned..... DO NOT GO THERE! read more
