Drove out to Kynsi Winery in the Edna Valley to do a wine tasting. Our server was very nice and helpful. They had some nice wines and we ended up buying a couple of bottles.

Pretty winery with views of an old barn and hills. They have two very friendly cats that just want love and attention. We did the November tasting and my favorite was 2021 Pinot Noir Stone Corral Vineyard.

What a cute little winery. I took my family here during graduation week along with another family. The staff was very accommodating for our large group, and the tasting was delicious. Would definitely come back to hang out with friends and purchase a bottle! They even have a cat that roams around, super cute!

Tasting Flight: $25/person for 5 pours (fee waived with two bottle purchase or membership enrollment). This was our "sleeper" find of the trip. Kynsi is a small, rustic winery, with a partially covered wine bar patio, and the rest is an open patio with views of the vineyards and surrounding hills. Pulling into the unpaved parking area and seeing nothing but hedges and rustic fencing, I wasn't expecting much. It was about 45 minutes from closing and they totally welcomed us for a full tasting. Cassidy poured for us and couldn't have been any nicer/friendlier, and willing to stay and take her time and not rush us through our tasting and other selections. A big part of my 5 star rating is due to her service. Of course, the wines were pretty darn tasty too! WINE: We got to taste a nice variety, including a Pinot Blanc, a Pinot Noir Rose, a Pinot Noir, a "Nocturnum" Rhone style red blend (65% Grenache/35% Syrah), a Grenache, and a couple additional pours. We enjoyed everything we tasted and ended up taking home 5 bottles, including two different Pinot Noirs with fruit from different vineyards nearby. Overall, the three of us really enjoyed Kynsi, and we'd definitely like to return and take a little more time to enjoy the patio and wines. Reading other reviews, I'd love to hang out and see the owls come out of the old barn at twilight. I highly recommend.

Kynsi Winery, Arroyo Grande, CA - November 30, 2023 We arrived at about 1 pm on a sunny but breezy Thursday afternoon. We called ahead to make a reservation, but none was needed on this day, and we were told to come on in. They recommend reservations on their website. We were greeted by our server, Joey, who was a very pleasant, engaging, and knowledgeable guy. We decided to do two wine tastings - $25 each, waived if you buy 2 bottles. They have an outside covered bar area with a few tables, and other outdoor seating as well, some of which is shaded by trees. It has kind of a Japanese garden feel to it. We have been to Kynsi before and have always been very impressed by their wines, which are mainly Pinot Noirs. They also had a Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Sarah open when we were there. We loved everything we tasted and decided to join the wine club, which canceled out our $50 tasting fee for 2. There are several club choices. We chose the 6 bottles, 2 times a year option. You can customize your shipment if you pick it up yourself. Their wines are reasonably priced in the $32 - $70/bottle range, 15% off for club members, 20% off for club members with a purchase of a case or more. Four people can taste for free if you're a club member. They have free wifi.

Came home for a small girls reunion and some wine. Love the quaint barn to the side unlike most winery that are huge. Kynsi is just perfect with the trees that covering the courtyard. The service is impeccable, they kept checking up on us to see if we needed anything. The wine tasting for $25 is just right. Other places the wine tasting offered too much wine this was just right. By the way, thank you ladies in the back of my picture .

Tried Kynsi for the first time during an afternoon of wine tasting, it's tucked away compared to a lot of the other wineries in slo! We went with the $22 tasting that comes with five drinks. I wasn't wow'd by any of the wines, and because it was so windy we were just more focused on not letting the menu or beaker (what we used to pour our own tastings) fly away. Although the surrounding area is beautiful, there's really only 1-2 tables that really has a nice view. Parking is on a dirt lot and easy to find spots, made reservations to get a tasting.

Tasting Host was excellent, Wines were all very good that were offered on our visit in July 2023, and location was very laid back and relaxing. Dawn Durso was our hospitality host for the afternoon and she was professional, knowledgeable and welcoming to our group. She answered our questions regarding each wine and was very helpful with our purchases. It was totally a great experience and my first time coming to this winery, I'll definitely be back to enjoy another day of wine tasting.

Kynsi Winery is in the beautiful area of Edna Valley. The setting is serene and peaceful. Pair this serenity with some good wine, and you may not want to leave. This was our second visit here. And once again we were impressed with all of the wines that we tasted. We took home a bottle of their 2017 Syrah. We were able to walk in and grab a spot in their outdoor area. There are several sectioned off areas that easily accommodates Covid-19 distancing. Hopefully, the area will soon move to the next stage of reopening. Kynsi is a definite stop every time we are in the Edna Valley area

Decided to go to this winery on the spur of the moment, so no reservations. We got in with no issue and we decided to share as we already been tasting somewhere else. Both of our favorite was the rosé, the other three reds were ok. The girl that helped us was nice, but she didn't even tell us her name.

Price: $22 for wine tasting that includes the good quality glass. Service: not bad but could have been better. Our hostess was busy and possibly pregnant and seemed tired. Seemed knowledgeable and would have been great to be able to talk to her more about the wines. Overall, loved the wines & the outdoor tasting area was beautiful. The hutash was the only wine that wasn't great. The stone corral was a favorite. The pinot noirs in the area were a pleasant surprise. Would recommend this place just as my boss recommended it to me

This was our first foray in the Edna Valley wine trails of San Luis Obispo. Such a relaxful winery, I could have stayed here all day. The ambience is beyond description. Very nice outside tasting bar ran by Miss Dawn. We tasted several wines, mostly reds and some outstanding Pinot Noirs. Kynsi is a nordic word for owl talon. They pay homage to the barn owl on thier bottle logo. We met the wine maker, but my bad dont remember his name. Very nice fellow. We ended up liking the Nocturnun the best, a red blend of Cuvee.

We were also fortunate enough to get some nice sunny weather on our visit. The outdoor seating was perfect for the weather. It did get a little windy later in the afternoon so I suggest you bring a jacket just in case if it gets chilly. On top of the scenery the service was great as well. The host greeted us and sat us right away. We ordered the wine flight since this is our first time at this vineyard we wanted to try everything. The wine connoisseur was really friendly, did a great job explaining each wine and timed out each pour perfectly. My personal favorite was the Chardonnay. Given the limited seating, I found it to be kind of misleading but my fault for assuming. We ended up ordering a bottle to share as we decided that we weren't going to stay for too long. The rose was good but hard for me to judge as I am not too expert with wine tasting. We got a cheeseboard which was $55 and decent? Service was also okay overall. Given their pricing being higher than other vineyards and it being on the smaller side, I would not personally return but loved the experience nonetheless. Great views and did like the atmosphere but would try other spots in area as there are so many.

First off, the area surrounding the casitas/hotel is quite remote with some houses, cows here and there, and lots of hills. It's very quiet and the property is so charming.
