What do bar games, welcoming bar tenders, cheap beer and non-electro music have in common?…read more
You don't expect to find any of them in a cool Parisian bar. The Hurling Pub is my favorite pub in Paris, hands down. They have two fantastic dart boards that are perfectly situated for people to watch; the beer is cheap; there's also pool; and it's right next to the Pantheon.
This is a bar-pub hybrid in that girls also come around. Usually, dark wooden places that smell like stale beer aren't the most inviting for female students coming down from the Sorbonne and the Pantheon, but this welcoming bar is a hodgepodge of eclectic music, random bar interactions, available bar games (that's key) and honest prices. It is also in a vibrant area, so you can always leave ... but you're not going to find a more down to earth, solid pub experience in town.
